why can't i see the sun

broken soul

are worth twice

as much as words

written with an

knowing 

that when the time was right

we would love again,

even if

we must wait until

i realized

my heart

had been hurt so much

that I had let it go dormant

and when the feelings

came rushing back,

they weren’t for you

but for another,

for a love

that I had lost 

when my heart 

had remained

captive

my heart needed time

and the space

between them

spoke more about

their love

than

giving in

to temptation

and i like it that way

the moment that the

universe has spun too

many times for us

to exist,

at least in this world

anymore

we moved forward

with our mundane lives

taking comfort

in the future

we knew we shared

together

i had lost the love

when the feelings

the weight of
