So I always hate answering these because I feel like I’m playing favorites and leaving people out - which isn’t done intentionally. So I’m going to list a few that I particularly enjoy and then link to some individual writers to make it a little more fair.  By Design by @luminex3 might be my favorite Billy AU, and it’s so damn well done that I’ve reread it a couple times. Anything she writes for Billy is so damn good. 

Let It Burn by @its-my-little-dumpster-fire - if you’re in for a wild ride, this is the Billy story for you. It’s a soulmates AU... but everything else is so authentically BILLY that it’s unreal.

There was more to it, of course. Her career was in ruins. She was a laughingstock among her former co-workers and bosses. Her parents had stood by her publicly, of course, but she saw them, sometimes. They would just look at her, wondering where they had gone wrong with their child. 

Her life was a joke – she was a joke. And it was all because of one man.

The first go for my Fic Rec Friday and I just have to rec Choices by the wonderful amazing lovely @whos-pretty-now / @obscurilicious

I know I’ve said it before but I’m willing to say it again. This is the fic that made me want to write for Billy. I’d been curious and looking around on here just for gifs of Billy from the first season and I stumbled upon this fic. I was immediately taken in and couldn’t wait for the next part to post!

This fic not only started my love affair with one Billy Russo, but it got me writing again. I wouldn’t be where I am today without Choices!

Billy knew about the hit on Frank’s family.

Billy did not carry out the hit on Frank’s family.

Billy did not plan the hit on Frank’s family.

Billy’s crime is that he knew that Rawlins had decided to have Frank killed and, as an extension- his family: in order to hide the fact it was a hit. Billy knew about it and he chose not to tell Frank or get involved. He said he wouldn’t play a part in it but he decided not to warn Frank. 

THAT is the shitty thing he did and it is super shitty. 

For some reason in season 2 you’ve got Dinah and Curtis saying that Billy killed Frank’s family and now there’s a whole slew of people on this site who genuinely think Billy planned the whole hit and shot up Frank’s family and I just…

For those unaware, this is direct from the S1 ep12 script.

Billy: No. Billy: No, I wasn’t there. Billy: If I was, you’d be in the ground, because I wouldn’t have missed. Billy: But I told them I’d have no part of it. Frank: But you knew about it, didn’t you? Frank: Did you know about it, Bill? Billy: Yeah. I knew. Frank: She loved you. Billy: Look, it wasn’t supposed to go down like this, all right? Frank: My kids loved you.

I’ve already done it on @logans-chestnuts and @hermioneshandbag and it was a lot of fun, so I want to do Title Fics again. Basically, you send me a title and who you want to star in the fic and I write it!

Here we go! This is the first part of a 14 part series. Believe it or not (I’m actually amazed,) there’s no smut! Nothing naked, at least. I’m considering a thrice weekly schedule, but I’m probably not kidding anyone, right? I added everyone from the Caspian story, but if you aren’t interested in being tagged in this story, please let me know. And, of course, if you would like to be tagged, let me know that, too!

This takes place over the course of a couple years beginning in summer 2010. In Choices, I examined the path Billy wound up on because of making the choice to work with Rawlins. In this, I’m imagining how things could have gone differently if he had someone in his life that filled some of the emptiness from his childhood. So here we go!

“Catch me, Aunt Y/N!” Frank Jr. said as he launched himself into the shallow end of the neighborhood pool. You were the fun Aunt, the one who spoiled them and bought them presents for no reason and played with them as if you were another kid.

You weren’t really their aunt, of course, but you and Maria had been friends and as close as sisters for years. Hell, you had been in the delivery room with her when Frank Jr. had been born with his Dad on deployment somewhere in the desert.

And you loved Frank, too. He was tough and a bit distant, but once he warmed up to you he treated you like a baby sister.
