Just a reminder that it is nearly 2015 and I am a receptionist at a health center who sits encased in bullet resistant glass because people moralize, politicize, and condemn the safe and legal medical services we provide.

And THEY call US antilife. 

so I went to DC for work a while ago. They put bullet proof glass between you and a cashier in a gas station. It is all relevent to the area youre in. Not the place you work or what you do.

Eh no, I would say those are all factors. Gas stations are robbed all the time, especially in high crime areas, so that makes sense. The Planned Parenthood I work at is located in a city with an average crime rate. We have protesters outside of our building every day we are open. In addition to the bullet resistant glass, you need a key-card to gain access to every part of the building. This level of security is not present in most businesses or organizations in my area, let alone at other health care facilities. The fact that it is Planned Parenthood and that we provide abortion services is actually very relevant to the level of preventative security measures employed.
