About.
~ welcome to whimsy witch! My small business specializes in stained glass art and occasionally handmade jewelry. Through my business, I aim to share my love for stained glass and showcase my own creations in this mesmerizing medium. Welcome to my world of art and creativity!
~ I also adore photography, so i may occasionally post my photos, usually of the moon. π
~ im neurodivergent and queer and those 2 things are a huge part of who i am, a lot of my art is inspired by that and my business is a safe space for all. <3
Custom and personalized orders.
~ I am happy to custom create a unique stained glass piece for you, or modify an existing design and/or colors to meet your needs! I do charge a fee for custom designs, the fee will depend on the size and intricacy of the piece.
~ Once I have a grasp of what you are looking for, I will provide you with a draft pattern and quote to approve. After we work out all the details, I will then create the piece as agreed upon. Turnaround times will depend on my current workload, and the size/complexity of the piece requested.
~ Larger and more complex pieces will require a deposit, but of course all fees will be discussed at the beginning!
Care instructions.
~ Needless to say, all glass items should be handled with care to prevent breakage!
~ Cleaning: Clean the glass with a soft microfiber cloth if smudged or dirty. It is normal for the solder and framing to dull/tarnish over time. You can choose to let it age naturally, or you can clean/polish it with a stained glass polish. If the piece just needs a quick rinse, run under cool water. DO NOT scrub the piece harshly, this could discolor the solder, or cause a piece to come loose.
~ Hanging Tips: I recommend displaying your stained glass pieces indoors. Hanging them outside will cause them to tarnish faster, and wind and rain will damage them over time. Make sure whatever you are hanging your piece from is stable and sturdy.
