yesss!!! thank you 🫵 for getting it!!! my favorite alphacest dynamic is where a!dave doesn't want it, maybe he had some passing thoughts about how dirk was growing up to be a handsome young man, possibly even hollywood sweetheart material if he could use his connections to get him an in, but otherwise thought nothing of it. on the other hand dirk wants him so so bad. he loves his brother so much, and thinks he's smoking hot too, the whole world does, but from him it's special because no one else knows a!dave like dirk does.

one day dirk takes advantage of him when he returns blackout drunk from a cinema preview after party. and a!dave can't stop him, he's just barely awake enough to realize that this isn't some random guy at a party and tries to swat his bro away. doesn't deter dirk in the slightest, he just keeps coming onto him. and a!dave is too damn tired, and it feels good, and he hates that he likes it. ever since then he just keeps letting it happen, and always feels like shit afterwards for taking advantage even though they were both techincally doing that in different ways. it's so hard to say no to dirk </3 (it's both about making dirk happy and a!dave getting what he, wait no he doesn't want that, he doesn't, he swears! it just keeps happening!) and in the moment it's so much easier to convince himself it's not wrong. dirk on the other hand is having the time of his life getting everything he's ever wanted.

special shoutout to fanboy/stalker/budding yandere dirk who's memorized every single one of a!dave's interviews and has them all stored on a hard drive which he has backed up with another hard drive which he has backed up on the AR. which also stores the addresses of all of dave's past co-stars. are you crazy, he's not going to do anything to them!!! it's just in case!
