THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. Because, yeah, I can totally see where Violet would just decide not to like him. She’s really not hopeful for this new life/town/school and like any reason he’d give her not to like him, I think she’d take. Especially if she’s just had a bad encounter with Leah or whatever when they first meet and she’s like ~no. But, yeah, Violet really is a nice person underneath her sarcastic/cynical self and I can see him like unintentionally cheering her up one day. Like, maybe they are in detention or something together and he kinda makes her smile/laugh and FRIENDS? <33

OH MY GOODNESS. DETENTION. CAN YOU PICTURE THEM IN DETENTION? THAT. SOUNDS. AMAZING!! So maybe they have a class together and Norman asks Violet a question and she starts to, like, whisper yell at him or something and the teacher is just like "well I'm glad you two would like to have a conversation while I'm talking. Perhaps you can just finish it in detention" and Violet's just like ".... I will kill you, skinny boy" and Norman, like, sinks into the ground from embarrassment or something like that? And then in actual detention they become friends? Ohh that sounds super cute and awesome and just askldjfkdsjfkljsdf. These two, man. Already so excited for them!

Uhm, so far the book is pretty good. I'm only on page, like, 50 or so. (I needed something to do during my Journalism class because my Creative Writing class hasn't had a whole lot of homework. Model student, right there. I do my homework for other classes during my Journalism class. Because wow that teacher is, um, the worst. *shifty eyes*) But so far it's pretty good. It has all the things I loved about the first one which is basically being inside Norman's head, haha. But the beginning is a little weird so I'm not really sure where it's going right now but I'm liking it so far so yeah. And really? I hadn't heard that he wrote the second book in retaliation! That's funny, though. ... And sounds a lot like what happened with the second Jurassic Park, haha.

It was no surprise that Norma didn’t want him there. Dylan guessed that before he came home, but there was a part of him that hoped that his mom could at least show some sign that she was glad to see him or an ounce of compassion when he had lost everything. But no, his mom was Norma Bates and she wasn’t exactly mother of the year. 

A fact that his half-brother, Norman, would fight him to the death on. The relationship between Norman and Norma was about as dysfunctional as you’d think it would be from their names. And it had only gotten worse since Dylan had seen them. He felt bad for Norman: the kid needed to get out more. Not that Norma was going to let that happen anytime soon. 

But, now, their perfect family dynamic had been broken. Clearly his brother-- if he should even call him that --wanted no real part in their family. So why he continued to insert himself into their lives, he didn't know. He didn't like it. He didn't like it one bit.

"If you want milk, maybe you should have bought some," Norman answered coolly, calmly taking another bite of his cereal. Norma had provided these groceries for her son: the one son who'd been with her always. The imposter before him didn't deserve to eat from her table. Another bite of cereal halfway to his mouth, Norman stopped, glancing at his brother over the spoon as he continued.

So, I just realized that these two actually have a lot in common. Like, they are both new to town/coming here with their families to try to make a fresh start. They are both loners who have isolated themselves from most ppl (Norman b/c of his mom, but still).

And, like, I can kinda see them being sorta friends? B/c Violet likes people and things that are a little weird and different (although I think if she really knew Norman, he’d def be too weird for her, haha). And also she really looks like a younger version of his mother, so I can see where that might be a reason that Norman likes Violet, haha. 

Okay so I actually like both ideas quite a lot. Maybe we could combine the two? Because I could totes see them starting out, like, hating each other until they eventually do become friends? Or something of that sort? Maybe they do get off on the wrong foot but eventually get to start over? Though I think that might be on Violet's part. Maybe she doesn't like him at first and then he does something super awkward and adorable and she, like, laughs about it and decides he's actually alright? Maybe something like that?

Anyway, awwww. So Caroline isn't a vampire yet? I BARELY EVEN REMEMBER THAT. IT WAS SO LONG AGO. WOW. Well, anyway, that shall totes be fun! The transitioning and such. Yaaay!
