Aster - little star
A lone mage that wanders the land searching for something. Seemingly guided by the stars themselves, she walks, leaving an odd trail of misfortune in her wake. Odd as in meteor showers, falling stars, and unnerving full moons. Granted they don't hurt anyone but the superstition in people won't let it go.
Something is really off about the kid, they say. Always looking at the stars, seemingly obsessed. You try to talk to her and she jumps out of her skin. Muttering strange things. Never can look a soul in the eyes; much too shy, they suppose. It's a wonder she hasn't collapsed.
Surely this'll be resolved soon. A young mage with no guidance is bound to attract unwanted attention.

Oren
Oren - old job
Although he won't elaborate much about it, Oren will almost brag that he used to be a king's court mage. Beyond that, he'll just clam up or divert the conversation with grace and ease, odd past completely forgotten. Bring it up again and he'll just laugh again; maybe he was actually the jester, you'd think.
Pride was Oren's downfall in the past, and although he's gotten a little wiser, he will fall into those same patterns again. Just give it time.
Elowyn - a bit surprised to see you.
Elowyn is on a journey. No, she won't call it a pilgrimage. She's not going anywhere in particular. This journey doesn't have a set destination. When all you have is the wind in your back and the god of purity and renewal at your ear, you keep your feet moving. Maybe it's better to call this meandering lifestyle what it is: aimless wandering.
A while ago, she met Oren. Immediately she had a bad feeling about him, but not that he was a bad person. Instead she knew he'd become her greatest headache.
Against her own good judgement she began to travel with him. Over and over she told herself they would part ways at the next town. But although he was overly dramatic, noisy, opinionated, and fussy, she found she grew to enjoy his company. So instead of looking forward to leaving, she calmly waited until he grew tired of being around her. It hasn't happened yet, but she's content to let the budding friendship take it's course.

Uses spirits as familiars. Only they can see them and they so look like that because they wanted to look like that. So like not imaginary friends or whatnot. Where did they come from?
Kalin is actually really scared of people finding out, so might try to pretend to have esp or something. Or say they only knows certain spells and like rest of the party is like no prob. Might even eventually learn magic.
Katia - cat spirit. She. Mother hen to Kalin. Will protect.
Humbert- bear spirit. He. Baby bro. Overexcited but is still learning. Doesn't know own strength.
Kalin- human. They. Mid 20s. Can't remember anything from before the accident, including the accident. Has double knee metal things.(I will try to remember the word later.)

Been in a rpg mood lately so made up some character designs for an OC thingy. Might not get super far since I'm busy. So like no names yet.
Main idea is everyone is a type of mage; yes even the elf warrior girl, thinking like summoned using magic. Bear with me lol I'll figure it out. I've decided in this setting that religion magic is a thing so the lady on the far left is a mage.
Might add more when I come up with it. Just wanted to let you know what I was up to and that I'm not dead.
ppl will say "demisexual and demiromantic apply to literally everyone why is it a label" and then play smash or pass, see people on the street and comment to their friends how attractive they are, meet someone at a bar and ask them on a date, start talking to someone in the hopes that it will end up sexual/romantic one day
like bro. an actual lack of attraction until a serious connection has formed is not the same thing as wanting to get to know someone before you have sex or date them.

i will be autistic for a moment but living in a world where social expectations and standards are made by others and expected to be followed lest you be seen as a 'failed' person somehow when those standards are not based in personal happiness or autonomy or kindness to others makes me feel genuinely insane like daily
