HELLO! i am an animator/VA involved in making a show called...

Whamst

!!!! Le gaspe??!! It's a pretty "normal" 2d animated show- safe to say, expect influences like Gravity Falls, magical girls/gn, and themes of Religion.

It's based around these siblings and a friend- Pine and Xavier Zodiac, along with Faire Malinet respectively!

Side note: NO BIGOTRY HERE. REGARDLESS OF SKIN TONE, LANGUAGE, KIN, GENDER OR RELATIONSHIP PREFERENCES WE ARE CHILL HERE!!!(Except for zoos, MAPs, and assholes in general)

The two best reasons to ship anything are:

1.Incredible deep and detailed narrative themes. The parallels that seem to hit just right, the narrative foils that they can be to each other, the intricate dynamic that's both extremely complex and easily understood. The juxtaposition between something that's harsh and undoubtedly toxic, with the softer undertones, the parts where you read in-between the lines and find a mutual feeling of loneliness from both parts, their intrinsic understanding of each other comes from the mere fact that they're each others mirrored reflections and shadows. In the end both sides will be together forever, and you as an audience can clearly see their tragedy laid out before in a path that blurs pure anguish and tender romance

2.It would be so fucking funny

As we've been writing more instrumentals for Whamst, this gets funnier and funnier to imagine from each character's perspectives. Sadly, no VAs are currently able for a recording session(and all the ones I need DONT EXIST) BUT the instrumentals have so many fun leitmotifs in there that have to be cut for the lyrical version... Tragic.

Recently saw a post about angsty sequels and how they betray(or don't betray) original works.

Season 2 is not the angsty part. You will never have Whamst get a 3rd season because season 2 is so based around finishing season one that it's inherently impossible. Yes it's going to be upbeat and positive, and yes season 2 will have our main characters be adults! I can't say much more without spoiling, but teehee~
