The Guardian has an article on Niki and James, which includes the BBC highlights of the Fuji race. There’s also mention of the new book about James to be published later this month.
Niki and James , designed in the style of Burt Hartman cartoonist
famous for his series The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom ....
for me it was fun drawing them that way , because my personal trait
is quite different from Burt
That’s amazing!

At Imola, my Ferrari team-mate Gerhard Berger had a huge crash when he smashed into the same fateful corner that five years later would tragically take Ayrton Senna's life. […]
When I returned to the pits, everyone was very worried about Gerhard and emotions were running high. James Hunt came up to me looking quite intense and said, 'Nigel, unless you know exactly what has happened to Gerhard's car, you should not go back out if the race restarts. You would be taking your life into your own hands if you go back out there without knowing what has gone wrong.' He was really quite forceful.
He was adamant and we talked about it at some length. I am a big fan of James and was very flattered that he was worried in that way. I think his concern that day reflects a very admirable side of James; he was a passionate and caring individual. He was also a former world champion, so I took his opinion very seriously indeed.

Short, but so, so, soo emotional. Especially the first minute when Murray is talking about James.
Gosh, I’m so emo.
Amazing stuff.

Great article, talking about the contradictions that made James such a unique character.

Very interesting article, describing what it was like to drive an F1 car from the seventies:
The problem with old racers like this is not driving them fast, but slowly. They hate it. Their engines cough and bang, their cold brakes don’t work and, until you’ve found a way of injecting some heat into them, those vast slick tyres provide all the grip of soapy cardboard. So you slither nervously around for a lap or two and just as fear is about to get the better of you suddenly the car starts to function properly. [...]
Now, instead of wanting to fall off the track at every corner, there’s so much grip it’s decided it would far rather try to pull your head off your shoulders.
