I wrote a few personal posts about how the flotilla made me feel and now zionists have found them. I should not be surprised by how stupid people raised on brainwashing and hate are, but the lack of critical thinking skills are… no matter how much evidence there is, if an idiot doesn’t want to believe it they’ll create their own illogical reasons why it’s not true.
Anyway, I would like to say that the flotilla was a success.
It was a success because it got attention back on Palestine from many people who had previously turned away. It was a success because it showed exactly how disgusting and horrifying the treatment of prisoners (hostages) are by the Israeli regime. It was a success because it has stirred up anger and courage and hope in streets around the world and that might just lead to politicians thinking twice about unquestioning supports.
And one day, the boats will reach the shore. One day Palestine will be free.
In case you are not glued to the Flotilla livestream like I am - the IDF just shot at a boat of unarmed humanitarians multiple times, while their hands were already up. I dread to think what they have done to them now that they’ve boarded.
Syrius, the last boat from GSF, held out until the bitter end.
They were circled fired at with water cannons and the footage ended ominously with the IDF ramming them.
May everyone stay safe until they can be released and may their governments actually stand up and fight for them.
The Lina Al Nablusi from the Freedom Flotilla Coalition is the last boat standing, sailing through the dark.
It is unlikely that they will make it through the night - god speed to them and may they stay safe.

I mean our government comes up with “reasons” to invade other countries, such as Syria, like their government is allegedly violating human rights or something like that. but… I mean for other countries, they do not even have to go deep to bomb the fuck out of this place, they can just look at our media. And this has been happening to people of color since the media has existed.

On edge following the updates for the Sumud Global Flotilla since morning - 19 boats intercepted far far away from Gaza in international waters in an act of piracy - Israel has no right under international laws to stop or seize boats in the way they have and it shows that they believe themselves to be in no way obliged to respect international law at all (but where’s the surprise there?)
Relief that one of the family friends travelling has made it to Greek territorial water and is safe for now though the other family friend in the flotilla has been seized.

I have been refreshing the flotilla tracker all day, checking which boats have made it Crete, noting with relief that Nablus and Bait Ummar are slowly coming back from their detour, hoping that there are activists who are only stranded after sabotage and not kidnapped as the Open Arms heads back towards some of the red dots.
And then end of the day - the Turkish flotilla members appearing on the tracker as they head out from their own port, renewing the fleet and my hopes.
No action is hopeless - no resistance is without meaning. I’ll pray once again for even one ship to make it to shore, and will cheer them on until no boats remain.
