I frequently see people asking for Linux distribution recommendations, so here's mine.
It doesn't much matter.
Download a couple that look interesting and install the one that downloads fastest.

As long as you pick one that advertises itself as a Desktop OS and don't try to install a LiveUSB only pentest distro or other specialized niche distro, you'll be fine.
Sure, if you have specific needs like games, you might want something with recent kernels, but most Desktop distros do anyway.
The tools are the same and available everywhere. The only difference is how easy it is to install and configure them quickly. Picking a distro that you can just get to work with directly after installing is fine.
That's literally the reason Linus Torvalds gave when asked about the reason for his preferred distro.
Once you start finding yourself talking shit about your choice, in technical terms, change distributions.
Otherwise, relax and carry on with your day.
