Lemme tell you a story

This is 100% true.

One of my flat mates was walking home with some friends. She’s like 4 foot 11 and slender. They were in a somewhat shitty part of Brooklyn. A guy pulled up in a car with a kitten and said “Do any of you want a cat?”

She said yes and got in the car with him. This guy is a total stranger. He drove off with her, despite her friends’ protests.

Now we have a beautiful cat named Selina that we love and my flat mate was totally fine and nothing bad happened. Dude rescued the cat as she was being chased out of a bodega but he couldn’t keep her.

Don’t ever do that, but I just wanted to give some proof that sometimes things work out and sometimes strangers are cool and the world isn’t always a terrible place.

Although I will say that this cat is a bitch who has broken loads of my stuff, so there is that little caveat.
