May I present to you: freckles overlays! This is an overlay box by @episims​​ and myself which contains 25 freckles overlays. There are freckles for the arms, legs, back and front, and each overlay comes in six different densities. Of course you can combine them, so your sims can have only a freckled back, or freckled arms and legs -or all at once! It’s up to you! Oliver’s body freckles (by @deedee-sims​​) are included as a bonus with thanks.

The overlay box is a freckled mannequin torso found in Misc/Dressers for 27§. Freckles are available for all ages and supernaturals states (they will show under plantsim/vampire/werewolf overlays). I’ve used a simplified method for making these, after deleting a bunch of resources from overlay packages I think were unnecessary. They seem to work properly in my game, but let me know if you find any problems. And that’s all! Enjoy!

With this mod, residents of dormitories are picked randomly (originally, lowest-numbered Sims were chosen) from the pool of unplayable students who don’t have keys to rooms on occupied lots. If a dormitory they lived in isn’t occupied or no longer exists, their keys get destroyed and they can move to another dormitory. Originally, in such a situation they were trapped and couldn’t live anywhere else.

Conflicts

Apartment Hack by Pescado conflicts with this mod. They can be used together as my mod prevents students living in apartments from being picked as residents of dormitories, but it has to load after Pescado’s.

Dormie Gender Controller by twojeffs conflicts with this mod. They can be used together as long as twojeffs’ mod loads after mine.

This is a little object mod that allows you to reduce the rent on AL apartments, because EA’s default rents are silly, and also because subsidised housing is a thing.

Inspired by Inge’s mortgage shrub (which doesn’t work in apartments, and also it’s hard to discretely place a shrub in a bedsit), I’ve made two identical objects, using the mesh and textures of the telephone socket from Living Dead Girl’s Wall Clutter Part II, which look like this:

Just like the mortgage shrub, you place the rent control objects in the apartment while you’re building - before you’ve moved any sims in - and they will reduce the rent of the apartment. One object reduces the rent by §1000, and the other reduces it by §100.

Useful things to know:

Because of the way EA calculates apartment rent, the numbers aren’t exact - the rent will be reduced by approximately §1000 or §100, but sometimes there will be slight variation (like in the picture above).

You can have negative rents with these objects. If you do, your sim will be paid for moving into the apartment, and will also get money every time they “pay” rent.

If you use a mod that makes sims pay a deposit to move in, or something like Inge’s landlord mod that allows sims to buy whole apartment buildings, these will mess up the deposit/purchase cost.

You can use multiple rent control sockets in one apartment, and you can stack them on top of each other invisibly, without using moveobjects.

You can find the rent control sockets in Misc->Misc.

Because of weird maths, these cost -§15,151 and -§1,515, respectively. Don’t have your tenants try to sell them. ;)

The rent control sockets only affect the apartment they are in - if you want to reduce the rent on all the apartments in a building, you need to place rent control sockets in every apartment.

The sockets are technically toilets. I’ve tested them a lot and I’m pretty sure there is no leftover toilet-related behaviour - sims don’t pee on the socket, or vomit on it when they’re pregnant… however, please let me know if you find any bugs!

The sockets won’t be sold when your sim moves out - because they’re toilets, they stay with the apartment even when it’s unfurnished.

The sockets go down with the walls.

Edit: Thanks to @datnewnewtype for pointing out that these objects were causing a problem with bills. I’ve updated the file to include a fix. If you don’t use Cyjon’s Bigger Bills, please redownload - if you do use Cyjon’s Bigger Bills then you don’t need the bill fix file, and if you install it then it will conflict with Bigger Bills. :)

IKEA Lack Add-on Standing Shelves

Annnd here’s something I’m really proud of c: I originally only wanted to do the narrow ones, but… I got too excited, and ended up making a whole set XD

They’re all slaved to the Lack Sidetable, have as many slots as you can see. Many thanks to @nekosayuri for the help and encouragement with the slots! <3 They’re categorized as shelves, and the prices are pretty random, because I have no idea about how to price them XD I tested them and they should work fine, but tell me if you find any problems! IKEA SP is obviously required :)

It has always bugged me how much employees of sim-owned businesses can earn compared to traditional careers. The cashier of the local grocery store might get the same money as their spouse who’s working as an intern, and the pet store manager enjoys salary as big as some bigger company’s president. Well, not on my watch. 

I seriously wondered if there’s even point to upload this since all I did was extracting one BCON file and changed couple of numbers in it, but I couldn’t find “a mod” for this shared already so maybe there’s someone out there who could use something like this as well? This is what I did:

Base wage is lowered from 150§ to 80§

Every skill point is worth +10§

Every bronze talent badge is worth +20§ (instead of 50§)

Every silver talent badge is worth +40§ (instead of 100§)

Every gold talent badge is worth +60§ (instead of 150§)

Managers get additional 200§ (instead of 700§)

If you disagree with the numbers the BCON file is very self-explaining, so it’s really easy to change them to something that makes more sense to you!
