Matt listened, shrugging soon after. "...I live with people who...they aren't wolves. But they are also outcasts. Monsters." Matt did not flinch at the word, it was fact. "Helps between shifts to see familiar faces." He elected to not mention his particular relationships at that place. That was...personal. "You'd like it. It's in the woods in the middle of nowhere." Nature was second to the house itself.
Matt had never befriended lone wolves like himself before. A lot of them seemed angry, betrayed or...something else entirely. Or they wanted companionship. But...Matt was not interested in entertaining his wolf. Orion appeared...different. They just...talked. Some type of curiosity between the two. Two very different wolves, and two very different people.
"You should come visit. I know your full moons are a bit different - I'm sure everyone would love to meet you. And could tire you out. I know thats a thing for you."
"Well that sounds like you're trying to lure me into the woods to sacrifice. Isolated, away from others, a bunch of unknown supernatural beings. Recipe for disaster." Orion played it off as a joke, a bright smile and rolled eyes, but there was a gnawing reminder and fear to the invite. "I mean, look at me," He gestured down himself, "I'm not surviving that horror movie... But I do like the woods." He raised his brows, head tilted with a look of consideration.
With a tension breaking huff of laughter, Orion nudged his shoulder into Matt's, "I'm kidding, it sounds cool." Perhaps demonstrating why he wouldn't survive that horror movie, Orion let the optimism through, "And come on, I bet our moons aren't that different. You should try it my way sometime." He rocked on his heels and nodded, "Get all your energy worked out, make sure you're fed and comfortable, then we can go running. It's... There's really not a good substitute for it."
He hated admitting that, but as far as he'd found, it was true. There simply wasn't a substitute for being around other werewolves, especially at the full moon, and Matt was an opportunity to safely, hopefully anyways, do that again.
Matt chuckled at the others thoughts of the invite. He...wasn't wrong. Matt lived with them, he had grown custom to them. But they were still...monsters. And were monstrous to people that they did not know. Maybe it was a bad idea, actually.
He blinked at the shorter man when he mentioned to their moons must be more similar then he thinks. Bullshit. Matt decided to keep that to himself. But still, he listened. Excersise, food and then...the hard part...let the wolf go. "I uh...I don't usually aim for substitution more so...control." He shrugged. No doubt Orion would be horrified to hear what he subjects himself too. "I don't take well to the uh...free range, I suppose."
"Last time I broke free I ate someone, Orion." He admitted, though neither proud or ashamed of it. It was just fact. And if he thought about it long enough he could even recall their taste. "It's quite the...plunge for me to even think about letting him go again. Willingly."
