My final commercial for my 8 designs based around the 50s.

Story board of my initial inspiration for my commercial. Introducing 50s clips of dance routines etc. I wanted a classic 50s hit so I decided on the Jackson 5 cover of rokin robin originally performed by Bobby Day.

Final and updated synopsis and customer profile board. I have included who my customer is and what her profession is as well as what inspires her, what brands of clothing she wears and what she does in her free time. I have also included what inspired the collection i have designed for her as well as the era it is based around and the date it will be showcased. 

This illustration was designed around a 50s building, using the patterns in the building as wel as the colours. I have included a small time lapse of me applying the media which in this case was water colour paints. Although I loved this design, I believed it was again to basic and could be developed further with different shapes and styles.

This again was one of my favourite designs but I decided against it as it’s too similar to the final 8 peice designed around the same archetectural peice from the 50s. I did however love working with chalk pastel and how smooth it blended together. I’ve included a time lapse of the initial sketch.

This was one of my favourite designs out of the 4 I didn’t choose as I loved how simplistic it was but, that was also the downside to the garment. I believed it was too simple and that my other ideas had been more developed. Never the less I have included the images of the cars that inspired this peice as well as the draft media application and shading and adding tones to the design.

Even though I did love this design, it wasn’t my favourite as I feel it is a basic garment style. I have inserted the photos which have inspired this garment aswell as a short time lapse of me adding media which in this case was newspaper. I liked this style of media because it reminds me ofJaveria Hashmi which I have before studied.

This design has been inspired by a milkshake as I wanted it to give the impression of an American diner.
