Meet Clover đ
Since I'm showing off more of my OCs, here's one of my favorites. This is Clover Conley âď¸
Ideally she would be the main character of whatever story I write with her. She's super hyper fixated on ghosts and monsters and loves writing stories and poetry. She documents EVERYTHING! I was thinking of sort of a poet turned reluctant soldier sort of trope with her (Solider Poet King and all) but that may change.
She also kind of just doesn't have a filter? Like she's very social but doesn't really understand social cues.
Anyways I'm gonna share more of her soon. I actually made her when I was younger but I finally came up with a design I like.
Cyrus (OC sketches)
I figured i might show off my OC's more. Here's Cyrus. I recently redid his design (Changed his hairstyle, weapon of choice, age, occupation, etc) and came up with something resembling a story for him. I'm thinking he might be a weaponsmith and engineer who works at the local blacksmith owned by his father (I'll show off his sketches in a few days) and he doesn't have a great sense of self outside of work and school because his fathers a dick so i figured his whole arc could be figuring out who he is outside of his job and letting himself just be a kid.
Anyways i doubt anyone cares i just wanted to show him off

Weeping Eve: The Clover Chronicles PROLOGUE DRAFT (PART 1)
Written by @yourlocalgayoticvampire (@gayoticbard on AO3)
It's the middle of the night. I should be asleep, but my mind won't grant me mercy. Instead of lying in bed, sleeping like a corpse, I'm curled up in the corner of my room, my back against the wall and my head in my hands, weeping uncontrollably. The air feels too still, like even the night is holding its breath. I cover my mouth to quiet my sobs. I donât want to stop them. I want to scream, tear this room apart, claw my way out of my own headâbut all I can do is sit here and cry quietly. I look around my room, searching for somethingâanythingâthat feels real. But everything is just shadows and shapes, familiar and foreign all at once. The posters on the walls blur through my tears, the corners peeling like theyâre trying to escape too. My desk is still a mess, books piled high, pages sticking out like broken wings. My potted flower is so withered that I can't even tell what kind of flower it is anymore.Â
I can't even look at it anymore.Â
Every time I close my eyes, I see it again. Them. What I did. What I didnât do. It replays over and over like a broken record. I can't do this, I need to take a breather, but I can't do that in such a confined space. I eye my worn-out messenger bag sitting below the window. Without hesitation, I get up to grab it and climb out my bedroom window. Iâve done this many times before, so Iâm not afraid of getting caught by my aunt and uncle. They probably donât even care.Â
As soon as I step outside, a chill wind curls around me. The full moon hangs heavy in the sky, casting a pale, ghostly light over the darkness. The silence is thick, broken only by the soft crunch of the grass beneath my feet. Shadows stretch long and strange across the ground, twisting with every flicker of the moonlight. Thereâs no one out and about at this hour. Perfect, no one to bother me. Without hesitation, I head for the forest miles away from my house.
The stillness of the trees at this hour is a great comfort to me. I come here often when everything feels heavy. The trees help me breathe when I canât control my own. Out here, I can just think. Or not think, just exist. Right now that's all I need. I approach the steadily flowing river and sit on a nearby patch of grass. The soft ambience of the rushing water soothes my anxiety.
Suddenly, I hear leaves rustling nearby. The hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I get up quickly and look around. There's no one in sight, but I still can't shake the feeling that I'm being watched.Â
-meow-
I look down and see a fluffy white cat with ember green eyes sitting next to where I was. She looks at me with pleading eyes, as if she was begging for affection. There was no resisting her, so I sit down and run my fingers through her soft fur. I lift my hand for a moment, so she takes that as an opportunity to climb upon my lap and claim it as her throne. She lets out a soft purr of delight as she makes herself comfortable. It seems I'm trapped now, not that I'm complaining. If i have to spend the rest of my life petting this adorable cat, then so be it. We sit there together for what feels like hours. I look up at the moon and realize how high it is in the sky. Itâs shining directly above me, much brighter than usual. I should be heading back soon, but i canât bring myself to get up. I look down at the cat fast asleep on my lap. She looks so peaceful, i donât want to disturb her. âWhere is she from?â I canât help but wonder. Thereâs a collar around her neck, so she clearly isnât a stray. Her owner must be worried sick. Just to be safe, I check her collar. âWeird,â, I thought, 'There's no name or phone number.â Instead, thereâs a symbol engraved into the golden tag. I lean in closer to inspect it; itâs an eye with a spiral in the iris. I return to petting her, this time, I try to scratch the top of her head. The cat lets out a shrill screech and reciprocates. âOkay, you donât like that. Sorry.â I say, deflated with guilt. I notice something glowing beneath . a tuft of fur on top of her head. I approach the skittish cat, airing on the side of caution, knowing she may try to attack me if I touch her head again, but curiosity is killing me. I slowly brush the tuft of fur to the side, revealing a third eye, emitting a bright golden glow that nearly blinds me. I shut my eyes and wait for the burning sensation to go away. When I opened them again, I notice something in the cats mouth- my bag. âHey, give that back!â I demand. She simply ignores me and runs off, leaving me no choice but to chase her through the forest.
âGet back here!â I shout while running but she only picks up the pace. The cat darts between trees like a shadow, silent except for the occasional crack of twigs beneath her paws.
Branches slap against my arms as I run, breath hitching in my chest, âWhatâs your deal?â I shout, knowing she won't answer. She speeds ahead as if she knows where she's going. Suddenly, I trip over a root and fall forward, landing flat on my face.
The Evergreen Tree
The Evergreen Tree is tbe heart and soul of Weeping Eve. It protects and is powered by the souls of the deceased. Without the tree, magic wouldnât exist.
There was once a woman named Genevieve Auretta, a powerful witch who devoted her time into learning and practicing any and all forms of magic. She was born in 1335 during âThe Grim Ageâ. This island did not yet have its name, but it was nowhere near as beautiful as it was.Â
Genevieve had a heart of gold. She always wanted to help people and be kind, no matter what. She grew up in what is now called Cedarbrook and hated how awful and had a vision for what it could be, so thatâs what she devoted her life to. Her life goal was to âMake the world a better place than when she entered it.â. In 1491, she discovered âGreen Magicâ or âNature Magicâ. With this magic, she began transforming the island into what she always dreamed of. She continued to learn and master any form of magic she could, while also encouraging others to learn the magic that they wanted. People were inspired by her ambition and desire for change and began to help.Â
In 1500, humans discovered the magic realm and were disgusted by it. They disagreed with their beliefs and wanted to change what they could not understand, so they incited a genocide known as âThe Magicreâ, to get rid of any being who possessed any sort of magical abilities.
The Magicre
The genocide began on August 27, 1500 and lasted 792 days. Over four million people were murdered. Some fought back, most hid.Â
Genevieve was 171 during the Magicre, or 17 in human years. She stayed in hiding for the majority of the genocide, but when she realized the humans would not stop until they got what they wanted, she left to join the fight, but did not kill anyone.Â
The Battle atop the Evergreen HillÂ
âThe Battle atop the Evergreen Hillâ was the final battle of the Magicre.Â
Genevieve refused to be violent with the humans, so she used spells to rough them up, but didn't go any further than that. The humans caught into the fact that Genevieve refused to kill, so they beat her within an inch of her life. They enjoyed watching her weep in agony, but despite her pain, she refused to lose to the humans.Â
In her final moments, she cast a âlast resortâ spell and turned herself into an evergreen tree, dispelling the darkness that the humans brought into the island. The remaining human souls were sent to Charnoth to burn. October 2nd, 1502 wwas the day of Genevieve Aurettaâs demise, and is now known as âThe Day of Eveâ - the birth of the evergreen tree and the end of âThe Grim Ageâ
The evergreen tree serves many purposes, it generates and protects magic, and occasionally opens up a portal between the human world and Weeping Eve.Â
