Xie Lian stopped, turning back to face San Lang- no. To face Hua Cheng once more, ignoring Jun Wu's tightening grip on his shoulder.

The younger man had stood from his chair at the bar and Xie Lian could see for the first time that he had been right, Hua Cheng was indeed taller than him. Quite a bit taller as a matter of fact. Xie Lian mentally scolded his wandering mind as Hua Cheng closed the distance between them before he continued,

“I meant what I said earlier. I really enjoyed talking with you.”

Xie Lian, certain that he was blushing but was determined to ignore it, smiled back at him.

“I really enjoyed talking with you as well, Hua Cheng.”

Xie Lian had expected that to be the end of it. He really had. What he couldn't have expected was for Hua Cheng to reach forward and gently take Xie Lian's hand. He could only stare, dumbfounded and steadily turning a color that matched Hua Cheng's moniker as the gangster raised their joined hands upward. His dark gaze never left Xie Lian's face even as he dipped his head slightly to brush his lips over Xie Lian's knuckles. Hua Cheng's smile shifted to a smirk that had goosebumps racing down Xie Lian's arm.

Like, if production really wanted to go dark horror then embrace that shit. Don't just kill him and sweep it under the rug.

Gimme dark quintessence crazed eldritch Lotor that's out for everyone's blood. And make the Voltron team deal with some consequences and either put Lotor out of his misery or try and fix him. Preferably the latter because that could lead to SO much more angst.

It also gives me an excuse to believe that is why Integra inherited the blond hair/blue eyes despite the fact that, given that fannon believes her mom to be of Indian descent, those genes would be recessive.

And also why she wears gloves all the time, because maybe she basically breaks out in something similar to an allergic reaction if she touches iron directly.
