  Iam proud of my team motivated by the same vision and goal, carrying a project they believe in, defended with faith and passion. Don’t ask someone to do something he doesn’t want to, without surprise, you’ll be disappointed. Hard to succeed in a field where you don’t feel at home. Appreciate skills and task they want to accomplish, inculpate them well done job attitude and pay attention to details, it maids your product unique and you brand to. Moreover, expect excellence. Only few companies expects excellence from their staff, and that’s too bad cause it excel, innovative conceptions, relevant pivots to refine better and better your product in the sole purpose of providing a product that is…what’s the word again?…excellent!

We are not excellent, not at all, but always trying to be in everything we do. We want to offer our customers a product they couldn’t even think about, even desire or ask for, but that will change their life and their everyday web. We are not seeking fame, money, success or recognition, we seek to achieve our vision. We seek to achieve our dreams and allow our users to make their own. Demand excellence, you get it. We have just completed our alpha version. It is currently online in private access to be tested by an Alpha community who share our passion, the discovery of amazing websites that make our lives easier. We intend to test this version for a period of several weeks to collect the maximum number of observations and feedbacks from users. Then, we want to evolve our product with a design and further development to realize a beta version to the end of the year 2012.

Simplib is a one year old start-up, based in United Kingdom, with a team working in Paris. Composed of three different profiles, 1 marketer, 1 designer, and 1 community manager, we are currently looking for several profiles. We are looking for 1 Ruby back-end developer, 1 webdesigner/integrator who masters Html5, CSS3 and Javascript languages and 1 SEO & digital marketing professional.

Well, we talk about it, but do we really know what it is? We launched the blog several months ago to announce every day new websites to make your life easier, but why? We are programing the upcoming launch of  Simplib.com, a website library ready for the end of 2012. But what is Simplib.com?

Our goal is to make  access to websites easier. Today, there are millions of websites among which are quality sites, very useful ones that we use on a daily basis to simplify your life and others,  equally powerful but sometimes unknown to the general public who are just willing to be used.

Our job is to select and organize these sites in the most simple and intuitive way as possible. To do so, we identify the main needs of internet users, then look for the best matching sites and then, count on the contribution of our members to share their selection of websites. Simplib is a communautary library of websites.

We want to pinpoint the best services and products offered by the Web to Internet users. Simplib present quality sites, useful services and relevant, trusted sites. A site can enter in the Simplib database data only if it meets certain quality criterias.

Compare websites to books. There are billions of books worldwide. The role of a library is to select the best of these books, and organize them so that it can provide readers with writings that match any of their research. Simplib is open to all Internet users looking for more simplicity and embraces the concept of the physical library adapted to websites. Our target is comparable to all those readers curious beginner,  confirmed ones,…searching and looking to discover new content.

Several types of public are targetd by Simplib. On the one hand, the site offers users a platform for information and connection on the various websites presented. This agregation of websites through a simple and intuitive classification meets the difficulties encountered by users during their navigation and especially a lack of benchmarks on the web. Our system allows users to access the services they need without having to worry about or remember the name, briefly or recently heard on the radio or on television.

On the other hand, Simplib offers websites a new form of visibility. Therefore, our service is to provide and  accelerate traffic to the websites presented in our database. Our capacity as curator offers various types of solutions to our partners such as sponsored links, an appearance on the home page, and many others.

It's been a year since we had the idea of Simplib, 6 months that the company exists, 3 months that we develop the concept, and now we are at this crucial moment of the launching process of a web start-up, the pitch! By going to many events related to entrepreneurship, startups and web / tech community; we were able to attend numerous presentations of young entrepreneurs, beginners or experienced, who came to discuss and share about their product.

It is exciting to be listening to others when trying to communicate in the best way about your own product. The pitch is an important synthesis, answers to simple questions, yet essential. We are here at this precise moment where we will take the plunge and pitch our concept in front of a professional assembly. We have decided to target our events regarding our needs.

We were friday 12th of October at meet up ParisRB during the Open World Forum, a quality event organised once a month by Thibaut Assus which meets developers and professional from the RubyOnRails community. We were sponsoring the event (we offered pizzas and beers to the participants) and presented Simplib to developers in quest of the gem who will join our team.

We were also at weekend BeMyApp video edition with DailyMotionn, brilliantly organized and moderated by John Karp and his outstanding team. The principle is simple, in the assembly there are also application developers web, and of course, web designers and graphic designers, it’s good, because we are actually looking for talents to create Simplib technical team.

And since we like to talk about our project and to share experience, we organized a Simplibtesting event @ SimplibHub. Don’t hesitate to request an invite for the next events, the number of seats is limited for this event. We invite you to test, give your feedbacks and viewpoints. This meetings are opportunities,  take a seat and contribute to the evolution of our website.

What problems are facing startups? No idea, but I’ll tell you about ours.

And first and foremost that we do. You need great technicians to achieve your dreams and those of your users.

How to provide a unique and great product that improves the lives of your users? By surrounding yourself with top-flight developers, the “unicorns” rare gems that will lend their expertise to your product. More than skills, seek excellence in people you work with, looking for love and passion in what they do. In Simplib, we almost make the mistake to be impatient and choose to work with a provider who only saw in us one more client. We had reason to expect, we had reason to wait and look for better. Today we found a developer who has brought more than his skills, he brought Simplib his passion, his knowledge, his desire to surpass his excellence. We valued it in him leaving the place to fully express himself. Now our project bears the indelible mark of his intervention, it was changed forever. It bears much better and now tends to a quality product, where the relationshipclient / provider was changed to mutual and homogeneous cooperation.

Search unicorns, a few more weeks you spend trying to surround yourself with passionate bring you much more than you think.

Unicorns are hard to find, but believe me, strive for excellence when recruiting allows much more than the mere use of competent persons strive for excellence can achieve great things. So what are you looking for? Change the world with a product that enhances the lives of your users or realize your idea as soon as possible to lower cost.

I am French, pure strain Parisian, but my heart is in London, England. Why? Ahhhh, what a question! Perhaps because it is the most exciting city I know. We do not ask you where you come from or what schools you have done, but rather ask what you can do, what you want to do, or where you want to go, what are your dreams, what is your vision and what you aspire ... Pulled up? Yes that's exactly what I’m talking about! A city that never sleeps, where life is certainly hard indeed expensive, certainly it is cold, there is night at 16h, food is not really tasty... but what a joy to be in a busy city by the desire to realize his ideas in projects to fulfill her dreams, and to surpass yourself .... There is one place in London for channeling this energy and creativity. This is the Google campus. It is simply a place generously made available to startups and entrepreneurs by Google in the center of the City of London. The idea is very simple, gigantestque openspace with benches, tables, chairs, sofas, ottomans, telephone booths in English to make video conferences, table football, billiards, .... everything needed to create an eco-system that facilitates the work and happiness. This is my second office in fact :) Open daily from 8h to 18h except on weekends, this place full of creativity and booming also hosts great tenors of incubation as TechHub and Seedcamp. For those who do not know the principle is very simple, you do not have enough money to rent a commercial space for your team, then come here to just rent an office, valid for teams of up to 5 people cool ...!  But it is far more than that the Campus is a state of mind and philosophy, everyone speak, learn from others, ask for advice, is to test his product ... it's great.
