                        “kappa says you smell bad,”                                                     /—NO I DIDN’T!!!—/                                          comes the playful jaunt and a laugh from behind the man where the other agent had taken up space. she holds a smile on her face and a very grumpy ai sits atop her shoulder. there’s a pause, a silence that blankets the air while others scoot from the room and leave them, “are you okay, wash?” she then says, quiet like a whisper as her head tilts to the side, “you’re in one piece, so that’s good news… i’m sorry i couldn’t go out there with you today,”

    “ i didn’t even think you could smell anything-- honestly. ”

    he’s found himself staring blankly at the wall across them, tuning out for most of the conversation until the last minute. arms crossed, head titled, and seeming more aloof than normal, he couldn’t help but smile underneath his mask when del had offered an apology.
