Shyan

We had another Key West banger in GF when the boys visited the second lighthouse of their careers. No one called anyone "daddy" this time but Shane did leave during Ryan's solo to return with pizza for him.

In the Debrief, they both agreed that after ten years of knowing each other they would enjoy being isolated to manage a lighthouse together. And Ryan referred to himself as Shane's baby.

We also had a double helping of MF in July with a bonus sponsored video that aired simultaneously on WTV and YouTube. Since it was an ad they had to be well-behaved but we still got a cute moment at the end when Shane invited Ryan to hang out together.

The official account also answered an ask about last month's MF portrait and posted a new short form video confirming the painter of the work specializes in wedding portraits. A totally normal thing to do.

In Drink To That there was another moment of having a domestic argument in front of everyone present (and on camera) when Ryan asked why Shane doesn't do his dry cleaning. This one could also be good for the ShaneMatt enjoyers!

July 29th was also the ten year anniversary of Ryan and Shane's first video together on the Unsolved Network, with their Illuminati video. Their official accounts celebrated this with a post across all of their socials and reblogged the Drag Path video. The ghoul boys each had their own unique reactions to the milestone.

Standrew

Steven and Andrew ate a lot of meat together in Texas when they aired their bbq episode. Adam was there to capture all of it with his amazing photography skills and he also attempted to give the Standrew shippers some content when he asked the boys to go "Lady and the Tramp" on a sausage.

Other News

Joyce had Shane as a guest on her Twitch stream, where they talked about fanfic tropes such as yaoi and vore. And Joyce admitted to reading Shyan fics specificially. Also interesting to note that we're talking about this on main now! Oh how the turn tables.

Reminder that this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (August 6th - 8th) is our next creator retreat! We're taking a trip back to the 80s and 90s to make some nostalgic movie inspired AUs!

Shane can't get him to take a break, but he sees the signs. The bags under his eyes, the tension he carries in his shoulders. It breaks his heart.

So, he conspires with the crew. For weeks, they plan a Ghost Files Alone Together episode. Ryan throws himself headfirst into research, balances production meetings, and works on scripts like it's all that matters.

Shane feels a little guilty when they finally make it to their Airbnb. He makes a show of lifting the ghost gear box on his shoulder like it has weight to it and helps Ryan carry in some production gear.

When they have everything inside, Ryan starts to get ready to go meet their "contact" at the location.

He opens the ghost gear case to ensure everything made it in one piece, only to find it empty. His heart just about drops out of his ass before Shane is next to him.

"Ryan, listen, I know it was wrong, but you weren't listening to me about taking a break-" he rambles, attempting to do damage control before the damage is even done.

Ryan doesn't react for a moment. Then, he's laughing. Shane watches him, thinking he's finally cracked, before Ryan's pulling him down into a kiss.
