What are you most nervous about for the FRC game this year?

My greatest concern is strategy and the many ways you can score points this year. It’s not Recycle Rush (only one viable design) or Stronghold (breaking defenses was a must).

At its core, I feel that you can either be a gear bot or a fuel bot. There’s not enough time in a match to do both. Ideally, an alliance would have a balance of the two.

Game-wise, SteamWorks looks like a combination of two previous FRC games: Lunacy and Logomotion. So in terms of mechanism design, all we have to look at is the winning designs from those games.

Each team just has to figure out what type of robot they’re most comfortable with.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Just to illustrate the point that @necromancerbatman made, do not attempt to press the button at the top of the rope before climbing, as that will earn you a red card and a bunch of nasty looks.
