Family Background:
The family was prosperous and harmonious.
Her father was a renowned martial artist. He had many connections and friends within Gruntal. In his youth, Gruntal even invited him to join the organization with a very generous compensation package, but he declined because he had already achieved both fame and fortune in the Grand Duchy of Marineris and enjoyed a happy family life.
Her mother was a famous orator, deeply in love with her husband. She was also of noble descent, and her own father was a politician.
Her younger brother was an astronomy student, passionate about astronomy and philosophy. He shared a very close bond with Lilith and was known for his gentle and courteous nature.
From an early age, Lilith learned martial arts from her father and public speaking from her mother. She herself was ardently devoted to the study of jewelry and gems, held refreshingly original insights into fashion design, and possessed an exceptional talent for it.
Storyline:
Lilith's grandfather (the politician) had made critical mistakes on certain key issues, including actions that violated some fundamental political principles. As a result, he was dismissed and imprisoned, marking the beginning of the family's decline. Moreover, her father had made many enemies. After Lilith's grandfather passed away, those enemies sought revenge. Outnumbered, her father was killed by his adversaries, and her mother was brutally murdered. Lilith then fled with her younger brother, embarking on a life on the run.
Using her father's former connections, she was introduced to work in an area near Gruntal. After her younger brother fell gravely ill, she was forced to work long hours every day. She was later directed to an underground fighting arena to earn money through illegal pit fighting. Relying on the skills taught by her father and her own innate talent, she earned substantial pay. She was successfully recommended to Kraft Heisenga of Mauser Academy and became his disciple.
Excelling academically at Mauser Academy, she quickly became Kraft Heisenga's trusted right hand. She then returned to take charge of the very underground arena she had once been part of, now serving as its overall manager, with a very handsome remuneration.
About the Underground Arena:
Mauser Academy's ethos is rooted in brutality and slaughter. Therefore, Kraft Heisenga, as an Altmeister, believed that true talents must be tempered through tens of thousands of battles, sharpen their will, and derive pleasure from killing. Consequently, he established a massive underground arena near Gruntal—combined with a casino—to generate profit and to select promising individuals. Lilith is responsible for recommending talents, quelling disturbances, and collecting interest.
The underground arena is illegal. However, because it is situated outside the jurisdictions of both Gruntal and the Grand Duchy of Marineris, and also serves as a gathering place for people affiliated with Mauser, it operates without legal restraint.
Rules:
The arena's competitive format is divided into Points Matches and Life-or-Death Matches.
Points Matches
· Contestants can be either contracted fighters or non-contracted fighters.
· Contracted fighters: Those who distinguish themselves in Life-or-Death Matches and win a certain number of bouts may be invited to sign a contract. They receive pay regardless of winning or losing and enjoy medical benefits. The downside is that they must fight whenever challenged or when a match slot needs to be filled, and they cannot surrender during the match. This means they can only kill their opponent, be killed, or force the opponent to surrender.
· Non-contracted fighters: They must also distinguish themselves in Life-or-Death Matches and win a certain number of bouts. They are free to withdraw, may participate in any match they wish, and can initiate challenges on their own. When facing a formidable opponent, they are allowed to surrender and will still receive a corresponding allowance upon surrendering.
· The matches follow a round-based system. Each match is jointly adjudicated by a designated referee and the audience. The winner gains 10 points; the loser loses 10 points.
· The top ten points earners each quarter are recommended to study in Gruntal, but they are compelled to choose Mauser Academy.
Life-or-Death Matches
· The objective is to make the opponent surrender or to kill them. This applies to both contracted and non-contracted fighters.
· In Life-or-Death Matches, contracted fighters are permitted to surrender. However, surrendering three times expels them from the contracted roster, stripping them of all the rights and benefits enjoyed by contracted fighters. Meanwhile, all their points accumulated in Points Matches are reset to zero.
· The funding for both Life-or-Death Matches and Points Matches is primarily provided by Mauser Academy. A fighter's earnings per match are roughly the same for both types of matches, though they may occasionally be adjusted upward or downward based on the fighter's popularity. All money wagered by the audience on match outcomes belongs to Mauser.
Rare Exception: On very rare occasions, some bored Mauser officers may personally step into the arena to fight. Whether a fighter is contracted or non-contracted, they may surrender or refuse to participate. Mauser officers are forbidden to kill contracted fighters but may choose to kill non-contracted ones at their discretion. Regardless of the match's outcome, if a Mauser officer acknowledges a contestant's strength, that contestant can be directly recommended to study at Mauser.
Relationships:
Lilith's previous best friend was Hilda (Andro Austad's secretary), who was also her classmate in the same year. Lilith often went shopping, strolling, or studying fashion and jewelry with Hilda in their free time. Later, however, because Hilda aligned herself with Andro Austad, the two found themselves affiliated with different academy factions. To avoid political complications, their interactions grew less frequent. Both understood and respected each other's choices, and when political tensions were low, they would still go out together.
Lilith's current best friend is Ling. They both love drawing and studying fashion and jewelry. When Ling married Gelda, Lilith gifted Ling a set of pearl accessories. Lilith is not particularly fond of Gelda—she is not very familiar with her, having only heard about her through Ling and met her a few times. The reasons are that she finds Gelda's attire too plain and lacking in aesthetic taste, and that Gelda is a homebody who loves sleeping too much.

She adores anything shiny and sparkling, has a sweet tooth (with crème caramel being her absolute favorite), and her favorite cuisine is sushi, for the reason that it looks exquisitely refined.
Lilith is quite wealthy. Only after joining Mauser did she discover that her parents had left her a huge sum of money in a secret account, which is why it had never been found. Earlier, during her time fighting in the underground arena, she had already earned substantial pay. Although a large portion went toward treating her younger brother's illness, a fair amount still remained. Now, as the overall manager of the underground arena, there are plenty of opportunities to line her pockets. She once bluntly remarked, "What's wrong with taking a little money from gamblers? Lilith's younger brother, Leon, gained exceptional admission to Mauser and serves as a professor in the astronomy department at Mauser Academy. He was able to enter Mauser precisely because of Lilith's influence.
