One of the reasons why I always come back to Gunnm is that a bunch of scenes are stuck in my mind. It's literally iconic I don't know how to word it differently, you know there's this kind of stories that once you read enough of it you realize the author watch too much movies and it's a big + for their story, there's something very creative and cinematographic about the way the events are presented ?
First scene I can think about is this dream sequence with Ido, in which Gally is alone in her bedroom with her blade piercing through his body and she have to remind herself that nothing about it is real. Wow.
Something I love about this scene is that it takes three pannels for his body to slide off her arms. Usually an action like that in this manga would only take one pannel. The fact it takes three probably means Gally is experiencing it in slow motion.
A worse interpretation is that this part of the simulation was repeated and she killed Ido multiple times which have all melted into one in her memory.
