Carol Danvers is the current Captain Marvel, though she’s gone by Ms. Marvel, Warbird, & Binary in the past. She’s a member of the Avengers. Carol has been around since the late 60′s as a member of the Air Force, & started her career as the superhero Ms. Marvel in the late 70′s. Her powers include flight, super strength & durability, & she can also absorb & shoot energy. 

Carol has had many looks & codenames over the years. She was the 1st Ms. Marvel, & she’s the 3rd female Captain Marvel (after Monica Rambeau & Phyla-Vell). Some of Carol’s relationships… There’s her recent love interest James Rhodes (War Machine), pictured above. Her best friend is Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman), & she’s also close with Monica Rambeau and Steve Rogers. She even has a blog & talks about her friends on it sometimes. Some of Carol’s villains over the years include Karla Sofen (Moonstone) & Mystique. Kamala Khan idolizes her. And Carol has a pretty complicated relationship with Rogue from the X-Men (x, x).

Carol has been in a few Marvel cartoons, like Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, & she appeared in the 90′s X-Men cartoon. She hasn’t been in a movie yet, though she’s going to star in the Captain Marvel movie due in 2018. 

Fun fact: she loves Star Wars, and references it often. Her cat is named Chewie, & she attempts to Jedi Mind Trick people.
