                        ❛   i don’ know about you but… this isn’t working…   ❜ he ignores any reaction from the woman as he abruptly jumps from the bed, mumbling sentences he had yet to recall for significance, only meant to disturb her (if that was even possible). he stood briefly, rolling his shoulders back and forth to relieve the pressure of the accumulated minutes of being akin to stone from before. once the first adjustment was made, he walked towards the end of the bed, sitting near it as he faced the television. head laid on the edge of the mattress, so he could see her as he spoke.                          ❛   and no eating popcorn while touching my hair, alrigh’ ? ‘m bein’ serious now.  ❜   

                     ❛   well - kira and me just baked an excessive amount of gingerbread cookies and -   ❜    his head moved alongside his eyesight, managing to catch a glimpse of his daughter sitting outside, buried in edible decorations. to the view he exhales a lightened laugh, hand signing mid air towards the youngster.    ❛   uh - there she is decorating the first batch by herself.  ❜    a content smile accommodates on his features as orbs shift to the woman’s frame, going up to the table where sarah resided and placing a warm cup he had just prepared for her.    ❛   i was thinking maybe stick with that - and, of course, my famous eggnog.  ❜   his smirk and immediate scoff meant as bragging, visual confirmation of a guaranteed product.    ❛  so ya’ know, when it’s a few days ‘fore christmas we could make like a huge dinner, invite your family and anyone else ya’ feel like it.  ❜  it was a stretch, he reminded himself the second the words flung out and there was no taking back. nevertheless, he thought of kira being surrounded by the people who mattered and cared for her as it being of utmost importance.

         ❛  well -  yeah. i mean. you do, but it’s - it’s not the point. i mean it when i say i’m done with this capitalistic crap.  ❜

                     ❛   risky .   ❜   he reminded her, correcting the misplaced words as he approached the vacant seat next to her, mimicking her behaviour.    ❛   risky idea .   ❜   he breathed the sentence out when his back hit the malleable spot, eyes darting to the side hoping to catch her response.    ❛   look. ya’ don’ even have to go with me .   ❜    his hand shifted mid air, common to his own demeanor whenever he attempted to make a point.   ❛   but you can’t deny it’d be an awesome road trip.   ❜    brows arched, tightened together to his scrunched expression, amiable enough for him to let out a small laugh.
