Genuine question but when did the fandom go from “yes Sherlock and John are two codependent assholes but it’s fiction and I love them” to “their relationship is unhealthy and a sign of shitty writing”? S4 is a whole bear we could tackle, but they’ve never acted like normal people because they aren’t normal, their world isn’t normal, and this is fiction.
