I wanted so badly for you to choose me, just this one time.

I hate the idea that you believe , genuinely, that we have nothing in common anymore. We’re not even able to separate from each other. I wish you would have just been honest with me and with yourself. You love me, and you’ll spend your whole life wishing you told me the truth about everything you felt. I’ll wait, I will. Don’t ever tell me that we don’t have anything in common when we’re connected to each other. Don’t you think this would be easier if we weren’t connected? Maybe it’s just easier for you because you don’t love me as much as I love you. I’d do anything for you, and I think that disgusts you. The idea that someone could really love every part of you, every unsavory, wounded part of you, scares you. I’m trying so hard to come to terms with the fact that you’re gone, really gone. I’m shattered, and I wish that mattered to you, to anyone, at all. I wish you saw me because I see you. Behind everything you build up in front of me, I still see you, and I love you. If god forbid, we never speak to each other or see each other again in this life, please know that I loved you. I loved you and the insides of you that you’re so scared of, and I would’ve loved you fiercely and deeply for our whole lives if you had let me. I want you to find happiness, and I wish that I could’ve been a part of that for you. I love you. Maybe I’ll see you next time around.
