She was targeted by MAGA/Ice-Supporters in social media posts for an edited clip that made her seem like an aggressor. What the small clip leaves out is 4 girls harassing while she walks away and starts hitting and shoving her, prompting her to defend herself and slap away one of the girls. Its been framed as she attacked them over their pro-patoritic sweatpants but they were harassing people. The pants had pro ICE and Trump slogans on them.
Luckily she has many friends and started a gofund me. She is in ICE detention in Delaney Hall currently and is in good spirits. She needs legal help as this arrest was clearly politically motivated as the charges are outrageous and is taking only the side of the 4 people. Below is the gofundme. Please help her.
