"my sweater's brand new, i don't want to get blood on it." she actually didn't much mind the idea of cleaning up a crime scene, but mickey seemed like the kind who might flex by offering to buy her a new sweater, and it was worth a shot; she could really use some new clothes. "don't you have extra guys for this kinda thing? those guys can't be the best you got."

"to  be  a  good  manager,  you  need  to  know  what  your  henchmen  go  through  first hand."  mickey  offered  her  a  winning  smile,  carefully  picking  up  the  two  empty  whiskey  glasses  from  the  coffee  table  and  putting  them  into  the  backpack  he'd  made  ripley  bring  with  her.  "it  wasn't  a  suggestion,  ripley."  he  looked  at  her  only  once,  before  looking  back  to  the  back  door.  "there  are  some  gloves  there  as  well.  make  sure  to  put  them  on  before  we  come  back."

"ivy, please don't do this." céline shook her head. she stared down at the wine pooling against the white background; her only thought was that it was going to stain, that she probably would have to pay extra at the end of their meal; because céline had been an idiot, and hadn't waited for them to finish eating before speaking up. she wanted to crawl underneath the table and disappear forever. zeus wasn't going to open the door ; it was late, dark, and he was in a city he'd never been before. whoever was on the other side of that door could go fuck themselves, for all he cares. except the person was damn persistent, and the sound became so obnoxious that he would rather face a gunnman than hear it for another second. he didn't bother replying to the man's question of the address, simply raising an eyebrow and pointing to the number etched next to the doorway. "list man, if you're here to rob me you could've just climbed through a window like a normal criminal." he sighed, eyes watching over the stranger's shoulder, trying to see if they had any other company waiting in the dark. "i live here." zeus lied. "and i don't book my own house. go find someone else to murder, i'm sure there's an old lady somewhere that'll let you in to use her landline or whatever excuse you'll use next."
