Wanton Randomness

I created my #asmileaday project in 2013 to try to bring some positivity to people in a world which seemed to focus on negativity.

Since then, friends have come to me with weblinks they thought I could post under the #asmileaday hashtag, others have shared their own personal stories under the #asmileaday tag, and someone else wrote a really moving reply back to a gratitude letter I sent her . Yesterday, a friend told me how her sister gave her a notebook a few years ago, and now when she has the time, she'll write down all the positive things happening in her life at the time. This was inspired by my #asmileaday project.

What makes you happy?

For me, a small list (in no particular order):

- Spending time with friends and family - Achieving something, even if it's really small - Finding a good book/film/anime/manga and fangirling about it - Being outside and enjoying the great outdoors - Learning new, interesting things - Helping others/making people happy

Some nice ideas here! Some of which I have done! 

Yesterday, I did a 5k run for the Cancer Research Winter Run in Manchester in approximately 31.40 minutes. Apparently I came 122th out of 266 (in the top 50%)! This is actually my personal best and something I'm pretty proud of, especially since I haven't trained for it and haven't ran for a loong time! Though my legs were super achey afterwards T_____T

'Love Line': People calling someone they had lost touch with.

I literally did this on New Year's Eve!! Well, technically, I texted, rather than called, but same difference! Excuse me while I break down in happy tears :')

Cute! :3 

How beautiful is this! The street that I live on has a 'Loving Wall' (where you can write any messages of love on it) and a 'Listening Wall' (where you can write letters of grief/loss/fear/anger for a stranger to read).

Some nice support during dark times.
