Ebola - A concern for Medan Idaman Residents

With the Ebola scare being rampant world wide, kindly check in areas like Medan Idaman with high Africans population. If you are “conscious” do take a walk at the Surau nearby during Fridays or stroll at the park in the evenings!

While you are busy politicking in Selangor, the residents in Wangsa Maju are laden with security issues eg robberies which is rampant. Despite our repeated appeals, you merely gave lip service via your personal aid. There are no active actions on your part.

Please HELP to work in your Kawasan. With the Ebola scare being rampant world wide, kindly check in areas like Medan Idaman with high Africans population. If you are “conscious” do take a walk at the Surau nearby during Fridays or stroll at the park in the evenings!

She is to many Malaysians the ideal woman, putting husband and family first, but when the need comes, she can hold her own even in Parliament. How many women in Malaysia can do that?” Tan Kee Kwong, a senior member of the PKR or People’s Justice Party, told Malaysia Chronicle.

KUALA LUMPUR - Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the PKR president and wife of Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, has been named to replace him in the Kajang by-election due to be balloted later this month.

Few Malaysians would doubt her ability to overwhelm her rival for the Kajang state seat, the MCA’s Chew Mei Fun, just as Anwar had been widely expected to do so before he was abruptly convicted and sentenced to 5 years jail on Friday for allegedly sodomising an office worker.

All eyes are on the bigger question of whether she will take over as the Selangor Chief Minister or Mentri Besar after winning the seat, replacing a ‘suspect’ Khalid Ibrahim, who has been accused of ‘selling out’ his party and coalition to arch rival Umno.

Azizah, who took on the mantle of Opposition chief when her husband was framed and jailed for sodomy charges in 1998, is reviving her role after Prime Minister Najib Razak’s government succeeded in pinning new sodomy charges against Anwar, his arch rival since the 1980s when they were both fast-rising stars in Umno.

Wangsa Maju residents worry that slope clearance may cause landslips - The Star Online

10 February, Wangsa Maju – RESIDENTS of Section 10, Wangsa Maju, had a rude shock when they found out that the green lung in their area has been turned into a huge bare slope.

They are up in arms over the large-scale land clearing carried out in Bukit Wangsa since Feb 5 without any notification signage or hoarding put up.

“The residents are gravely concerned over this as it is the remaining green lung in the area. People enjoy a walk in Bukit Wangsa where there are some 200 species of birds, reptiles and small mammals.

“The site being cleared is also a Class 3 to 4 slope, and it is very near to our condominium’s swimming pool. We worry for our safety as this area is prone to landslides,” said student Aisyah Farhanah Mohamed, 25, who lives in Sri Ledang Condominiums.

She said residents in the area had attended an objection hearing with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and the developer on Dec 24, 2012, at which they raised their concerns over the development of three blocks of 26-storey apartments.
