beau grinned in response to his words and took his hand, squeezing it softly. he left a couple of pecks on his lips and pulled away to look at him, “speaking of, when are you finally gonna move in with me? i like waking up to your handsome face in the morning.”

“When I get back from Korea,” Jamie nodded with a smile. “I’ll pack everything up before I go so it’s ready to move when I get back. That way it’s not like I’m with you and then leave for like, two weeks. That’d be so sad.”

landon looked over at his boyfriend and lifted his shoulders up in a shrug, “i guess i could try but what’s the fun in that?”

“I already have plans for us,” he teased. “You can leave the gutter brain to me for the day.”

“i could do that and then also, if anyone wants to get ahold of me then they can just come visit. i guess the whole point of taking me time is to be alone though so i don’t know about that.” 

“No, don’t let anyone intrude on your me time!” Marjorie laughed. “That’d defeat the whole point of you getting some time to just take care of you!”

“what just happened should’ve been an ego boost too.” she pointed out, teasingly.

“Oh, it’s the biggest,” Anthony chuckled back. “It’s borderline embarrassing how much I’ve thought of that.”

“which, is totally amazing. it’s hard to find love like that, you know? everyone wants to just…hook up nowadays. i like a good hookup, don’t get me wrong, but i want a date too.”

“I was really big into like, hookup culture,” Jamie admitted. “I never thought I’d actually end up settled down and stuff. Hell, I met Beau because we were hooking up. But being settled...it’s really nice.”

“jamie, you really have no idea how good that makes me feel. i’m so in love with you and i really wanted your parents to like me and now that they do, i can’t be happier.” he admitted as he got into the driver’s seat. “i love you so much.” he breathed and leaned in to kiss him again.

“I’m really in love with you too,” Jamie smiled as he watched Beau get into the driver’s seat. He sighed happily into the kiss, letting the happy feeling wash over him. “I can’t wait to live with you,” he smiled. “It really just feels like everything’s finally coming together.”

“all they can tell me is no, right?” landon didn’t seen any harm in trying. “no, right. i won’t quit until i have another job. i couldn’t do that to peter.”

“Absolutely,” Hermia nodded. “Peter, hm?” she hummed with a smile. “Tell me about this guy, who is he?”

“who isn’t? you can’t ever go wrong with pasta, am i right?” landon spoke, glancing at him as he led him out. “sounds good to me and then we’re closer to getting dessert.” he teased.

Peter laughed and gave Landon a good-hearted nudge. “Can you keep your mind out of the gutter long enough for us to have a meal?” he teased.

“it’s hard, dude. new york is expensive but it’s such a cool place to live which is why i don’t want to leave.” he admitted.

“Yeah, it’s a hell of a lot of give and take,” Gabriel nodded. “Like, on the one hand, I can’t imagine living anywhere else. On the other hand, I don’t know if I can afford to forever.”

“that’s okay. i wasn’t at all complaining.” gracie flushed as he spoke and buried her face in his neck in attempt to hide her blush. “hush, you’re making me red.” she whined softly.

“I like making you blush,” he smiled. “It’s a nice little ego boost to know I can bring that out of you.”

‘yeah,” he said with a nod. “i don’t know, i just feel like all i do is work, and then go home, sometimes i go out, but it just feels stale you know?’

“For sure, I get that,” she nodded. “You gotta find your new thing, you know? The thing that gets you excited, change it up some. What’s something you’ve always wanted to try?”

“oh my god, what?” she said surprised. “you’ve naturally a large chest, you can’t hide that without wearing a triple xl which will swamp the rest of your body and make you look unprofessional. that’s like…body shaming.”

“He’s legitimately insane,” Hermia complained. “Like believe me, I’d make my tits smaller if I could. But I can’t. So it’s not my fault clothes aren’t made to accommodate them. But I do my best to be professional regardless. I pray every single day he’ll switch firms.”

“it was a tiny bit of vodka and sprite. i pinky promise.” she giggled with a huge smile. “but i do have a bottle of tequila in my chanel purse if you wanna call it a day and maybe do some shots?”

“As your therapist, absolutely not. That’s highly inappropriate. As your friend, on the other hand,” she hummed with a chuckle. “I haven’t had tequila since my PhD days.”

andrew nodded as she spoke, “wow, that’s super cool.” he said, “i don’t know you do it, though. it’s a lot of work for little pay out, but i’m glad you are.” 

“I get pretty decent pay,” Hermia chuckled. “Prosecutors make more, but that’s not the route I wanted to go, you know?”

“in passin’. like how’re you doing? and then she has to keep movin’,” tara grinned. “it’s soooo intense all the time. i can’t.” 

“That’s still so cool,” Peter smiled. “Yeah and you can’t trust anyone in that field. Like, they all have an ulterior motive. I couldn’t do it.”

“Jamie, cool, pleasure,” he said with a small nod. he laughed “yeah, i’m thankful the college i work at has a/c as well, don’t need to be sweating through my dress shirts,” he said with a smile. “you’d love it there, it’s beautiful, especially this time of year,” he said.

“It’s somewhere I definitely want to visit someday,” he smiled. “Maybe I’ll start saving up and make a trip down next summer. I think it’d be a lot of fun. And I’d love to hear recommendations from a local!”
