there were so many falls that it was impossible to count them all. millions of beginnings, millions of endings. the surroundings changed, one after another, and it felt like light years had been covered, despite the stagnation in the perception of time. if it had ever been here at all. the space glowed white-hot, and was perfectly, unbearably quiet. the sound itself had burned away. the light didn't fade, it just collapsed in on itself. now a black glow, the negative of brilliance. a perfect, bright beginning, now empty. this isn't a place. it's the end of place.

the distant buildings looked like they were humming, almost like a hive, and they stood there as patient teeth, hostile columns of smoke and glass. the air smelled of wet earth and static. it felt full of intent from something unseen and meticulous. the sun was nothing more than a decoy, misleadingly rimmed everything in stained gold. the light that promised rescue but tasted of rust. nailed to a place it did not belong. it felt as though it had always been there, just beckoning me over the edge. and i fell for it, pulling into a bright, frightening nowhere.

This project and this music came out of some of the darkest times for me, and it took almost two years to complete the album. I was dead set on creating and exploring these worlds, finding and making the field recordings I needed, working with all these different sounds to bring them to life. I've got the whole concept and all the lore in my head, but I have absolutely no idea how to put it into words. It's been a journey deep within myself, and I'm determined to continue exploring what's hidden in the deep darkness within. But until then... here is 'gone'. __________________________________________________
