I love how there are three distinct different personalities/pairings for the same two dorks
GSC (games!) gold/silver which falls under the huntershipping
Spe(manga duh) gold/silver which falls under the preciousmetalshipping
HGSS (games) Ethan/silver which falls under huntershipping despite the name difference (can also throw masters in here too)
I am going to go into the personalities and what not under the cut
GSC
Gold I feel like matches manga the most here, heās a bit tougher than say Ethan, but not quite as issue-riddled as spe!Gold, he doesnāt second guess his moves and feels more confident in himself, he does have a bit of a āmean/toughā streak in him, but still is open that he has a heart of gold.
Silver is tough and mean, heās a jerk, heās angry, he is the type to get in a fist fight and win just cause someone looked at him wrong. Of the games, heās the vicious one.
HGSS
Ethan is a mischievous sweetheart, heās kind, heās strong, heās going to go all out to help his friends and his pokemon, but heās not as tough or mean as Gold in GSC, and he has a different name lmao
Silver is mean but in a different way than GSC, heās more spoiled rich boy who has never been told no mean than vicious mean. Heās the type to claim to be able to fight and technically can because Iām sure Gio had him take fighting classes, but for the most part he wonāt actually fist fight cause they might hit his pretty face (I think that spe!gold could make him cry lmao). I think heās the most likely of all the silvers to take any money daddy offered, he clearly wears loubatons in masters lmao
Spe
Gold is mean heās tough, heās crafty and heās also wayyyyy more sensitive even though he hides it, he has low self esteem, thinks heās a shit trainer but also wants to prove everyone (including himself) wrong. Heās wildly self-sacrificial when it comes to the people he cares about, and treats them differently than everyone else. Heās the most likely to be a criminal
Silver is sweet, soft spoken, and shy. Heās kind and will help anyone but comes off as a delinquent. While heās the toughest of all the silvers he also doesnāt want to hurt anyone, he also thinks he doesnāt deserve good things and that he has evil, but does everything he can to make himself good. Heās the least likely to take money from Gio, still living out of dumpstersā¦

For Amberā¦ā¦I think she would be a bit rude to papa goldā¦.but rude in the way a toddler or a kid or a teen is rudeā¦.she loves her papa, Gold loves her, sheās js a tsundere š„¹ either way, I think she would like being around Silver a bit more, and heād always be the one she runs to
Sadly for her, and as much as Silver loves her, Silver is quite emotionally distant from her. He can barley deal with his own emotions, his own past, he was never ready to take care of the feelings of another personā¦.
This probably causes some problems between gold n silver down the line (and for amber) but Iām not smart enough to think that far ahead
