and, whats your dnd character like? i have a pathetic werewolf bard that apparently did some insane stuff while i was gone (nice. great. im best when im not there. of course, that makes sense /gen) and im working on a goblin artificer :)
Thank you so much for the ask! I am always happy to respond to any asks!
👻- Phantom shift check! Since you're almost always shifted, what phantom limbs are you feeling?
Always a fun question to get! Right now, I can feel my paws as I type (Hence this taking a while), my vulpine ears, ans a nice, long, fluffy tail. It's comforting to feel the parts of my body that I know should be there, even if I know they aren't.
🐲- Tell us about what your most recent DND session was like!
Well, context for this group; Me and another DM are alternating campaigns, me playing in his and him playing in mine, with the rest of the players being the same group but having different characters. Lucky for you, he DMed last session, so you get to hear about my darling Magnolia!
Now, I'm not going to go too far into his backstory, as a few of the other players read this blog, but in essence; Magnolia is a noble child outcast from his family due to his infernal heritage becoming apparent as a Tiefling. However, he carries two scimitars, a powerful set of divine artifacts that grant him power.
He's by far the strongest character in the party- we're level 13, and he took down an adult green dragon on his own. In one turn.
As for last session though, we were investigating a dungeon at the behest of a team of archeologists. We didn't know what we would find, but they sent one of thier own in as we entered to make sure we didn't take anything, as we signed a contract for an even 50/50 split.
Magnolia, however, is very perceptive. As we decended, something felt... off. The archeologist was tight lipped, insisting that he didn't know what lied ahead, yet felt too well prepared.
Something you must understand about magnolia; he is a guardian, like I am. If he sees you witholding information, and by doing so putting the party in danger... let's just say it puts you on the wrong side of his blades.
And that is where we ended the session.
However, I want to adress how you ended your message. Sure, you missed a session. And some insane stuff hapened, that your character did, while you weren't there. I get the feeling.
But I'm going to make an assumtion- and please, correct me if I'm wrong. But i would bet your DM was playing your character, yes? Us DMs always are playing so many characters. We control how most aspects of the game are narrated. And we often are the most experienced players at the table.
All this to say, do not feel like your character is at thier best when you are not playing them. You know your character best, and just because something fun happened, I can promise you whoever was playing them was so nervous about playing them wrong. So please, do not worry yourself with that.
And thank you for the ask! My ask box is always open, for anyone.
