hii! my name is von, and i am the owner of "vonabstracts". i design minimal and abstract art pieces. although my main title is graphic designer, i explore all kinds of art from digital to print to paint to fiber. i love exploring different art mediums. my shop may only have prints and stickers for now, but custom rugs are just around the corner. then, who knows what type of art may appear in my shop next... i hope you follow my art journey to find out :) thank you for viewing my art, and i hope you love my pieces as much as i do!

Bee is a Black artist living in California's Bay Area. She's nurturing a lifelong interest in culture, diversity, and identity by painting her favorite people and helping bring others' visions to life through commissioned art pieces. She recently made the leap to making art full-time, offering art commissions, prints, and stickers through online storefronts. Bee's primary motivation for making art is to inspire joy, creativity, and to help others feel seen.

Kathani

Finally, I included the first of my portrait series, Bridgerton's Kathani Sharma. Simone Ashley's portrayal of Kate sparked so much inspiration (and butterflies!!) in me that, after years of neglecting my art, I picked up my tablet and made the conscious choice to start painting exactly the kind of art I've always wanted to make. I blew myself away with this one -- completed in 8 hours over several sessions --and realized I could do much more with my skills than I ever thought possible. I'm most proud of her skin tone in this piece. It's unfortunately common to see darker-skinned characters, femme characters especially, adapted poorly to the canvas -- the skin is either too gray or too light or poorly lit overall. I made it my unspoken mission from Kathani onward that I would always do my best to paint people of color accurately and beautifully. You can tell me if I've succeeded.

Inspired by the performance of Leah Sava Jeffries in the Percy Jackson television adaptation, I painted Annabeth Chase using Clip Studio Paint. I had a lot of fun injecting a variety of colors throughout the process to varying degrees of intensity. I wanted to get more comfortable using a variety of colors, and I'm so pleased with the result!

As a little girl, I did not have many opportunities to see people who looked like me in media. Alleanna Harris has been drawing for as long as she can remember. As a little kid, she would draw on every page of her mom's legal pads, her notebooks at school, and on the programs at church. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in animation with honors, and it was during this time she realized her love for illustration. Alleanna finds inspiration in the beauty of everyday things. She seeks to create images that are immersive, rich in color, and have a sense of warmth. She lives in New Jersey and is the illustrator of multiple books for children.

Aside from picture books, she has two online stores which feature art prints based on original illustrations, figures from Black history and Women's history, and pop culture.

Hi, I'm Rese! I'm a female artist based in the northeast United States. I'm inspired by nature, color, and experimenting with different mediums. My primaries are watercolor, acrylic, and digital, but I'm starting to explore alcohol markers and gouache. I sell prints and originals in my shop! I began making art as a way to help cope with depression (among other mechanisms, of course!). Art reminds me to live, enjoy, and savor. It's an (inexplicably) bright and colorful safe space. I like to think that when you buy my originals or prints, you get a piece of that space for yourself.
