Imagine team voltron on a diplomatic mission, right..

Pidge and Hunk are joking around about Lance being the dumb one, or just being dumb in general, saying stuff like, "I love him to death, but he just doesn't GET binary, yknow?" And "Lance has ALWAYS struggled with computers, I wouldn't ask him for help with that" etc etc.

They aren't being mean on purpose, just teasing, and Lance has never been offended before, so it's fine, he's got thick skin.

But somebody overhears them talking. The leader of the planet they're trying to ally themselves with. And suddenly, they don't want an alliance anymore. Why?

Why would these people trust voltron if one of their palladins is so unintelligent that he is regularly mocked by his teammates?

None of the palladins get it, until the leader tells them word for word what pidge and hunk had said.

Now, Lance has to prove his intelligence to an entire planet, and now he knows that pidge and hunk think so lowly of him that they'd mock him out in public, where anyone could hear-- and then not even realize what they had done.

Lance goes through a bunch of trials and shit, and eventually everyone apologizes (but not before some bamf Lance stuff)

Using this logic, we can guess for the other Half-Galra we see what their parentage is. Ezor’s mom was Galra, but her dad was the chameleon alien. Acxa and Zethrid look a lot closer to full blood Galra, even though they do have non-Galra features, so their fathers were Galra and their mothers were another species. 

Lotor is a little trickier. We know his dad is Galra and his mom is Altean, but Lotor mostly looks like a purple Altean, as opposed to a Galra with flowy hair. But we do know Lotor got his minimal shape-shifting ability (his claws) and his Chosen marks from Honerva.

They aren’t even dating yet, this is just a Thing™ for Lance

Keith was just lazily scrolling through his phone and BAM

He’d ask Lance wth and when Lance tells him it was a bad day he just

Goes with it

Because that’s Klance culture; Keith can’t reject Lance it is just not possible

So Keith continues scrolling through his phone

Only now he’s taken to scrolling specifically through memes and cute animal videos

Both of them are Lance Weaknesses™

and Keith knows that

It doesn’t take long for Lance to glance up at Keith’s phone and crack a smile at the meme currently displayed there

Keith can’t help the small smile that graces his own face when it happens

Then Keith plays a video of kittens

and Lance friggin coos

And Keith is so Gone™ for this boy that his face breaks out into a full-on grin

They just lay like that for a while, Lance’s mood slowly getting better the more cute animals and stupid memes he sees

And Keith’s happy smile is just fond and wide

Because a Happy Lance™ is a Happy Keith™

After they start dating, these become full-blown cuddle sessions filled with gentle kisses and soft caresses

Keith had created a folder specifically for things that would cheer Lance up

Lance doesn’t know this, but the folder was created before they even started dating

The day Lance finds the folder creation date, Keith explains that he just wanted Lance to be happy and took steps to make sure that happened

Lance doesn’t let go of his boyfriend for the rest of the day
