An Eridian mining crew find a human welded into a stranded ship on the surface of a moon. They bring him back to Erid, to the only other human they know.
Something in Grace's chest flickered into life. He had buried it so long ago that he hardly knew what it was anymore, and so he took off his glasses and cleaned them on the edge of his cardigan, as if Rocky's words were a smudge he could clear away before finding the will to hope.
“Ah…” his words failed halfway out of his mouth. Rocky chittered at him, a little sound of encouragement. “There’s another human? Here. And… alive?”

What a welcome sight. Even if this stupidly handsome man ends up being evil, or working for the C.O.I, at least he’d die looking at something good.

Ryland Grace and Rocky arrived at Erid almost 7 months ago, and Grace is far more lonely than he expected to be. Rocky is worried for him, but nothing can make up for the lack of human connection.
A group of Eridians patrolling space discover an odd looking ship, labeled SM-13, passing their planet, and discover a human inside. A man.
This man doesn’t know how he got here, only that the last he remembered, he was in a blood ocean facing certain death.
Grace must break a traumatized man out of his shell, while also working through his own repressed trauma.
Or: Two touch starved men must communicate their needs, work through their trauma, and build a domestic life on an alien planet.
