"Death Mask: An mold/cast of the face of a deceased person, made to capture the appearance at the time it was made. Preserving the visage of the individual, of what they once were.
A capturing of the past, holding onto it even after change."
Not my best I got to say. Somewhere along the way it went downwards but I did it. Parker Knickerbocker and his Avatar. Is he still there or has his mask finally come loose.
Might redo it but that sometime in the future.
"Something has happened to me. When... whenever I pass by a mirror, wherever I look at my reflection, I... I dont see my face. It's MY reflection, its suppose to be. It has my clothes, my shape, it has MY head - it's not my face though.
But... I recognize it. Its not my face, but I know it. I Recognize a Face I've Never Seen."
The third of the Noviates becoming one with their avatars I've done. All that's left is Parker and his.
Hopefully i can get it done sooner rather than later.

ROUND 2:
Mittens (Marckus/Kitten) (Hunter: The Parenting) vs. Byler (Mike Wheeler/Will Byers) (Stranger Things)
Mittens
Byler
A single episode special where red man tries to be a funny YouTube personality in early 2006 and Kitten tries too as well and they have a heart to heart explains very well why they decided to get married
It's honestly cute
Complications
Weron is sitting back against a wall in his room, gazing at the moon, mindlessly tumbling the Occulus in between his fingers.
Wayda walks in.
Wayda: Wernon, dinner is about to be ready
He doesn't respond
Wayda: Wernon.
Fatigue: ... huh?? oh, thank you Wayda. I'll... I'll be out in a moment....
Wayda: ...Weron, are you alright? You seem lost in thought
Fatigue: hehe, do I now? Apologies, it's just... memories is all
Fatigue then just looks at the occulus in his hands. Wayda walks over and sits next to him
Wayda: Do you wish to talk about about it
Fatigue: No, I... maybe I should. It is just that....today was my father's birthday. That right old bastard would be 44 this day
Wayda: You have been here for near 3 years and you still keep track of such a thing.
Fatigue: I know, it's an odd thing but still. It's just that the thought if him still pass through my mind now and then, especially on days like this
Wayda: what kind of thoughts?
Fatigue: Well... listen I know he was a monster but.... I think an old memory would do better to explain.
Fatigue: I remember one time when I was, eight or so. My father and I had gone out in the morning because he had to talk to the Arancum on supernatural business and all that.
Fatigue: On the way back home we passed by a store and something caught my eye. It was some small wind-up toy but it caught by attention nonetheless. I was entranced by it and i begged my father to get me it.
Fatigue: His words were along the lines of "such meddlesome trinkets are useless and are works of the devil as temptation" and some such sayings. But I never the less stilled begged him for it, I begged to at least make it a gift for myself for Christmas, then I even promised to excel in my studies and such for it. That seemed to have convinced him, and he agreed to that arrangement.
Fatigue: And so did I. I studied my books and got excellent test scores, I ate all my meals without fuss, I even kept my own room tidy. And when Christmas came, there it was, amongst my other gifts from the family. I was overjoyed. I thanked my father and played with it for the entire day
Wayda: that sounds...nice of him
Fatigue: it was. That toy even became a sort of symbol of my behavior for a while afterward. Whenever I would get in trouble and grounded my father would take the toy away and stow it in his study. And when my punishment was over he'd simply return it to my room, a sign that I was no longer grounded.
Wayda: Quite the oddly kind behavior for him
Fatigue: He had moments like that to him. I once twisted my ankle when I was ten, cried and mewled like infant, and the first thing out of his mouth was chastising me for being reckless and that I needed to "walk it off". Cruel I know but that very same night after dinner we had some chocolate ice cream for desert, large scoops too. It was only on occasion we had any kind of dessert in the house so I knew what he was doing.
Fatigue: There was also moments where he embarrassed me quite a bit, such as when was in my church's choir. After a show where I was one of the front row voices, a leading voice, he was VERY outspoken on the praise on my performance. Yelled it out to the whole courtyard to a degree that he was certain EVERYONE heard it. He also degraded and insulted my fellow choristers for a whole host of reasons. He critiqued their singing, their appearance, "inferior breeding", all of them highly personal breakdowns to friends at the time. Two of them even ran off crying during, which he then insulted them for.
Wayda: Hahaha! Really?
Fatigue: Yes, really. I have a bunch of stories akin to those, of my father's antics and how they caused such trouble. At school graduations, dinning events, walks in the park.
Fatigue: He was well-meaning in the lot of them, which turns those memories into honestly pretty amusing stories. And that where the trouble lies.
Wayda pauses for a moment, confused: Trouble?
Fatigue: I-I have a number of good memories of my father - hell I have a number of good memories of my whole of family. My Uncle Mortim would always sneak me sweets; Uncle Alec loved being a jokester; Uncle Dorthen even gave me my first taste of whiskey on my 16th. My family had love for me.
Fatigue: And yet... and yet they were monsters
Fatigue falls silent. Merely looking up at the roof above.
Wayda is silent for a moment then answer: Terrible people aren't always terrible all the time. Even they may have moments of peace or kindness.
Wayda: Even monsters may have families Wernon. They have things they care for. Things they show what remains of their kindness. You were that to your father and uncles.
Fatigue: And that is why he wished for me to join in the family tradition. To join him the family fully.
Wayda: Perhaps. Their own crusade was based around their delusions of justice, and they thought that you would be willing and see it as a gift.
Wayda: Their view of love may have been vile, but that truly was their love of you.
Fatigue: But what does it matter in when it is that vile.
Fatigue: Back in my home country my family were seen as heroes, they ARE seen as heroes. Protectors of our homeland for generations upon generations, farther back than even our good king's empire. And yet under it all is a current of evil, that stretches back who knows how far.
Fatigue: If a force for good has a vile force beneath its skin, no matter what good it has done, it'll always be as vile as the evil it fights.
They remain silent for a moment
Wayda put a hand on his shoudler: But you may still do what is right, and hold onto what is good. Despite it all.
Wayda gets up and begins to walk out.
Wayda: You may join us when you are ready Wernon. We'll be waiting.
And she goes. Fatigue takes in the words and his memories. Looking back on it all.
He glance one last time at the occulus: Happy Birthday father.
He gets up and goes to eat.

Okay, I'm gonna bitch about something Hazbin Hotel related one last time this year and then I'll knock it off until season 3 rolls around.
This topic was brought up in season 1 by people and it resurfaced again in season 2, and I cannot hold my tongue any longer at the dumbass argument people are making.
It's about how the writers portray rape in the Hellaverse, specifically when a joke is made out of it, we see it with Moxie and Verosika's crew in Helluva and Pentious by the club goers in Hazbin.
I specifically want to rant though about how people defend this by saying "Oh well, South Park, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, etc. do the same thing," but that argument can't be made because those shows don't take themselves seriously, being edgy and dark humored is their thing.
Hazbin can't do the same because they literally have Angel Dust, who is a victim of rape and abuse, and a huge part of his story is him trying to break free from said abuse.
So having these shitty little jokes just completely throws away the severity of his story, because it's very clear the writers aren't even taking it seriously themselves.
To add to this a bit
Remember that one Family Guy where Quagmire's sister is introduced and it was very explicitly shown she was in an abusive relationship. Later in the episdoe they tried to have a serious moment about it and everyone who watched that episode agrees that that episode was extremely tone deaf and out of place for the show. It wasn't a good piece of drama or a psa, it was just weird and awkward.
That's Hazbin hotel alot of the time only less awkward and more confusing.
Ugly Story is the best Homestuck fan song. Mainly because it accurately represents how Eridan sees himself.
Pretty much.
what's more it's Phemic's top song. Go on YouTube music and search her channel, its the first one
I always found the cosmology contradictions in the WoD to be pretty interesting, with Caine and God and also Gaia and stuff. Imo the Mage cosmology works best since it allows all the contradictory stuff to exist together. And they are the reality shapers after all
Me too! I havenāt looked into Mage lore, but the World of Darkness is indeed full of contradictions! The writers totally did this on purpose too. It adds mystery and allows fans to play around and believe what they want.
Itās endlessly humorous to me that Caine is real. āCause Beckettās opinion that Caine is a metaphor for the transition from hunter-gather society and agrarian farming communities is how like Catholic scholars interpret it. Genesis is largely viewed as a creation myth. So Beckett has this like high-level educated conclusion, but then the WoD writers are like āLmaooooooooooo boyyyyyyyyy heās real and he loves you personally.ā
Tell me more about God and Gaia! Can mages interact with them?
Okay so apparently Gaia is a spirit known as a Celestine aka the spirt of a given planet. Every planet in the solar system has one, think of it as the soul of a given world. I don't know how powerful it exactly is but it's is responsible for essentially all life, like a weird mix of captain planet and Gaia from the same show. If God made everything then essentially Gaia is either intended protector of the world or a by product (more than likely a needed one) of His creation.
Both are very hard to truly get a hold of but mages do have factions that try to interact with both of them, or at least follow their path/study them. The Celestial Chorus and the Dream Speakers
Might make a post listing some stuff like common misconceptions about biblical lore that I've seen circling around in the fandom + some frequently asked questions :] if only I could make more than one pinned post.
I hope one of those is the "Cain didn't know about death" takes that's been around.
Abel was sacrificing a lamb, Adam was regarded as a hunter, and I'm pretty sure the wolves and various other predators weren't exactly friendly.
Cain knew that "
What if when he was alive Abel would run away and hide whenever he was afraid or overwhelmed just like in the finale, and Adam would find him and comfort him.
You know im surprised no one's mentioned the nose bleed.
He did get hit by anything in the fight and is more than likely a product of stress on his "head injury"

In the vast expanse of my mind obsessing over Abelās solo in āHear My Hopeā I have put together a sort of theory.
Spoliers for Hazbin Hotel!!!
The first point I want to say is that Caine was a farmer, he wasn't directly a fighter. That technically be Adam as he was regarded as a hunter is some texts.
A second point somewhat unrelated is that the complaint about Abel being a coward has a bit of backing mainly due to Abel's age. Sure he died young but he's still been around for potentially over 9 thousand years, that older than a few angels in heaven like Emily when you think about it. you'd guess he'd grow a spine in that time period,
As for the theory I have to say that might not be the entirely true. I agree that the murder affected his outlook on things but him not being able to prevetn the murder isn't the reason he sees himself as a coward. It's more that he still sees his brother as this brave figure even after all this time
My personal theory on Caine is that he WAS a good brother. He helped take care of Abel and made sure he was safe, and that's why he was the braver son. Caine was probably closer to the ideal of what their father wanted , probably emulated him the best and helped protect the family even in dangerous situations.
Abel wasn't all that brave in life but Caine was and he still holds that positive image of his brother.
There's something somewhat funny about Emily and Abel in that Abel is more than likely many, many, hundreds of years older than her.
Given the connections he technically has he probably even saw Emily grow up, from baby to adulthood.
She probably knew him all her life even.
