Hello, goodbye and farewell!

"Decisions"

I started on a new sketch book and decided to do something big to break it in. This is the result. Festuring my characters Gizmo the Panda (left) and Orion the Kangaroo (right) standing on a cliff side while an ominous, and familiar, looking facility nestled in the mountains lingers.

In no small part this was about trying out a harsher shading style with, mostly, black and white. Also backgrounds... which is... yeah I have some work ahead of me there. Buuuuut hey, we all start somewhere.

My hand practice has started to pay dividends, however. If you go through my old posts you'll find a picture of Gizmo complete with awkward block hand. This is an improvement. She is supposed to be a bit stockier than I mad her look here, but oh well.
