Arctic is a selective mute. Early in combat school a mishap with someones weapon prototype caused the lower half of arctics face to become scarred and make it hard for him to speak, while he can speak his voice is raspy and weak so he chooses instead to sign. But it did give him the inspiration to design his breath based mask weapon which represents Arctic pretty well as he likes to see the positive side to things or at least see how he can turn it around to get some benefit.

He doesn’t seem very expressive since his eyes are usually half lidded and he wears cough masks to cover his mouth this causes some people to think hes never really interested in whats going on around him but he is, he’s just not great at expressing himself without words. His natural bitch face coupled with his height and muscle cause people to be very weary of him as well.

he does have a good sense of humour but doesn't really get to show it since signing jokes to people who aren’t perfect at it doesn't have the same impact as actually speaking them

Hes partnered to Vinny and while he is a very close friend to him Arctic is a bit closer to Lemon who really helps in his self confidence. Arctic rarely uses his voice but lets Lemon hear it and has let her voice coach him which has actually helped his voice sound less raspy but more gravely.

Arctic is a polar bear faunas, while he doesn’t hide his 7 inch white fuzzed tail he isn’t very open about it either. He tucks it away for comfort more than anything else so the only way people see it is if he shows it to them or if he stretches much more than he usually would.
