This spicy appetizer is a perfect addition to veggie main courses, plant-based burgers, and salads. The apple cider vinegar marinade with mustard seed is easy to make, but it adds the peppers extra deliciousness! π±

πΆ What You Need πΆ
βͺοΈ8-10 chili peppers ~ 230g / 8oz
βͺοΈ3 garlic cloves
βͺοΈwater 1 cup
βͺοΈapple cider vinegar 1 cup
βͺοΈbrown sugar 2 tbsp
βͺοΈsea ββsalt 1Β½ tbsp
βͺοΈmustard seed 1/4 tsp

πΆ What to Do πΆ
1οΈβ£ Cut the chili peppers into circles together with the seeds. Cut the garlic into thin slices.
2οΈβ£ In a small saucepan, mix water with vinegar, salt, sugar, and mustard seed. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, and remove from heat.
3οΈβ£ Add pepper and garlic to the marinade, mix and let cool to room temperature.
4οΈβ£ The pickled chili peppers are ready. If you are in a hurry, you can serve them right away. Or, put them in a clean jar and leave them to marinate in the fridge at least overnight. The longer the chili peppers marinate, the richer the flavor will be.
