"Embers from the same fire,
dust from the same star."
"You and I, we are embers from the same fire,
we are dust from the same star,
we are echoes of the same love."
"I know this is going to be maybe weird, a little out of the blue? Probably..." Chan's hands play gently with Felix's fingers, the youngests own hand having been trapped not long ago by the producer's as they sat down to enjoy the remaining of the festivities. "I just... I've been thinking about it for a bit, y'know? I always tell you how it's been hard for me to find a good match, someone I feel can take on- Well, dating me. Being with me and understanding my responsibilities."
Chan actually put a lot of thought on the trip, deciding the dates and stops carefully and arranging the gifts to fit the thematics- Right now, for example, they were experiencing the end of the season festival, the shows and performances along the main street, the handicraft spots and the local food. The environment, the energy, so soft and gentle, yet so lively and warm, so welcoming, so safe. It's just to set the scene, really, because whenever he's with Felix the world around doesn't exist, anyway.
"So I've been thinking about this... And don't get me wrong, it's not a proposal. Not yet, at least~." The boy chuckles gently, his eyes avoiding the other's curious gaze as his hands finally let go, one being shoved into his jacket pocket to take out a small shining piece of jewelry. "I- Well, these are promise rings. I never really liked the idea of it I'm not gonna lie to you. It feels sorta like forcing someone to chose you. It kinda felt like an empty promise for a while, a fake one for that matter. In my head, it just didn't make sense I guess... But with you... I think I now realize the actual meaning. The depth comes with how genuine your feelings are, right?"
Placing the small band on the freckled boy's open palm, Chan finally looks up at him. His eyes shine gold slightly- He's always said only strong emotions can begin to trigger a shift, and he wonders if Felix can feel in his heart the love. Chan wonders if their bond is strong enough for Felix to feel the strength, the power of his love. The way his insides ache to just belong to the other. "You and I... We are embers of the same fire, we are dust from the same star... We are echoes of the same love. And I don't expect you to promise me anything, you can wear this whenever you feel the time's right. But I do- I promise you that I chose you, and I will keep on doing so every single day. You're my sun, my moon, and all of my stars. You're my favorite constellation and the galaxy I want to live on forever. You're my light in the dark- You've always been. And you will always be."
