I’ve been neglecting my writing for far too long. I’ve struggled to get a job and still am unemployed. I dunno what the future leads, but I need to get back to writing and storytelling. 2 years ago, i began writing the first draft of my novella. After consulting and talking to my friends and other writers about a character i had locked in my mind and a style I used in the short story World Eater, I mused and told my friend Gil I would get to writing. It became longer than I planned it... it ended up becoming a novel almost. and if I add a few things it might have the 40k word count. this is important: this would be the first work I would try to push and publish. Maybe its it own thing. Maybe its part of a trilogy. i can't say. I've lost control over the work and its now real. Is it good? Is it bad? I don't care anymore. I dealt with heartbreak. I dealt with moving to Chicago and leaving behind my friends and family in a storm. I saw the death of my grandmother, Ligia Nélida Santiago, and I couldn't go to her funeral. A week later, my hero, Nicanor Parra, passed away. My friends and loved ones battled changes, impoverishment, unemployment. I made new friends, new people who helped me through the loneliness of the MA. I caught up with old friends. I went from 23 and now am gonna be 25 soon. I put my heart, my identity, my lunacy into this endeavor. I have an MA, I went through my first job ever and left it soon after due to personal issues with the job itself, but got to know amazing folk there. I dunno what the future holds, but if you are reading this, know that I finished the first draft of my novella, or maybe novel. And I wont rest until its published somehow. December 6th, 2018. Puerto Rican time. Virgilio Astram's first work: Cuando los Osos Reinan (When Bears Rule), has been completed it its infant stage. All my love and hate turned to words of a incomprehensible, Spanglish nature. Hope you give it a look when it's out.

Fuck you.  Sex workers need this venue to advertise themselves and engage with kink communities in an environment thats not out to extort money out of them.  Kink Communities need a place to explore and share their interests without major judgement.  LGBTTQ+ communities need to express themselves without judgement. Sexually and non sexually.  ARTISTS THAT DRAW/PAINT/PHOTOGRAPHY NUDITY NEED ALL THE HELP THEY CAN GET TO SHARE THEIR WORK AND MAKE BANK.  For fuck’s sake. You got hacked by Russians, you got porn bots off the wazoo. Instead of fixing those things you are doing something that will help marginalize communities and individuals that will end up moving to other venues. Venues that are not as inviting, user friendly, or established. A lot of people will lose momentum in their careers. They said they won’t flag text posts but LORD KNOWS THAT WILL BE THE NEXT FUCKING THING. But more importantly, you are doing this in demonization of adult oriented content, which is wrong. I’m legit thinking of stopping the use of tumblr and considering the ups and downs to it.  If Tumblr as a medium dies because of what this means to sex workers, artists and the different queer communities, then let it stay dead.
