Be Somebody

“Last poptart? Lance, you know I don’t like those things. The sugar gives me a headache.” he sighed. “I’m pretty sure I saw Keith eating one this morning.” 

Danny gave him a deadpanned stare for a moment and then rolled his eyes, “Get in line, many baddies want me under their laser guns, ghost ecto-blasts and so on,” And it was true. Many people want him dead. Fully. And this guy wouldn’t be any difference. But it didn’t mean he was suicidal or anything, it was just stating facts. He watched the male go inside his big kitty cat and then floated up a bit, crossing his legs and waiting patiently, big glowing green eyes still trained on the giant robot. Geez, it looked like something from an 80s anime or something, it was really cool. Okay, no time to fanboy, Fenton, he thought to himself and waited for the oher to come back. Although, he was curious…was the other some sort of space cadet or something? He hasn’t heard any that went to space from NASA.

Once the other came back, he turned back to his human form, the bright blue circles of light surrounded him as he then stared, bright blue eyes relieved, “Pidge?” What a strange name. But he nodded as he then stretched for a moment, then folded his arms behind his back, as the other looked thoughtful and wanted to take him to where Vlad is.

“Good, because honestly, I could’ve used the Infi-map, but it doesn’t really work outside of the Ghost-zone,” He then smiled as he then chuckled, “Trust me, I’m not fond of dragging someone else with me to my mission either. But I am grateful that you’re helping me despite the distrust,” It’s why Danny had been working alone lately.

Man, that’s weird he. can just change hair color and eye color so fast. Also, clothing. Did he take some class to that trick? Keith shrugged. “Well, there’s little voice called Shiro who keeps nagging me and even when he’s not around, that little voice keeps ringing in my mind. Besides, if I let you go alone. I’d have to save you and that guy when they figure out how to turn to you people into weapons. Trust me, it’s happened before and I’m not up for going through that crap again”

“Wouldn’t you like to know.” Lance was busy cradling a small dog like creature on his chest while he laid on the floor. 

                Curious   gaze   eyes   the   drink   he   holds   in   his   hand,     then   the   one   in   Keith’s.   Is   he   even   sure   that   it   has   alcohol   in  it   ??     If   Shiro’s   being   honest,     it   just   looks   like   someone   threw   whatever   they   could   find   on   an   alien   planet   dumpster,     mixed   it   with   nunvill   and   handed   it   out   to   the   paladins.      Or   worse,     it   looks   like   something   he   made    himself.    Either   way,     it’s   definitely   not   something   he   thinks   any   of   them   should   be   chugging   down   their   throats.    

       Attention   turns   back   to   Keith;     bottom   lip   protruded   in   a   pout.     ❛        I   wasn’t   trying   to,    ❜     he   replies,     unable   to   hide   the   light   whine   in   his   voice.

                  ❛        Wait   a   second…..     LANCE   ??     He   came   up   with   it   ??     Are   the   others   in   on   it   too   ??    ❜

“What gave you the idea I only listened to one genre? —Which song made you come over here and ask me, Lance?”

     “If we don’t, what happens after… Just, humor me, alright?”

“Gladly. I think I’m a way better pilot than you. And I can prove it; if you’re up for a little friendly competition.”

“I haven’t seen any Disney movies before. Hate to break that to you, but I’ve never had the time. Looks like you’re stuck marathoning with me then.”

Lance gave him such a disappointment look. Sure, Keith was better at him at a lot of things and he feels insecure because of that but like NEVER HAD THE TIME?! FOR DISNEY?! Despicable. “Hate to break it to you, but you have been crown lamest childhood ever. How does anyone of our generation live without Disney? Even those with barely anything knows Disney!”

❝ Well, technically I doubt I’ll still be A TEENAGER by the time we’re done dealing with the empire when I’m already at the latter end of nineteen. ❞ Keith pointed out dully, eyes rolling but otherwise not really protesting the idea.

In fact, it didn’t sound so bad.

❝ I still don’t really understand what you’re trying to get me to do though. Also I’m not going anywhere without my knife that’s basic safety. ❞

~✿~    She smiled at him, happy that she wouldn’t have to fight her way back to her son. “Mijo, No nesecito luchar…” She muttered, placing a hand on her cheek, “I just want to be with you- I’ve come all this way.” She whispered, “I didn’t come all this way for nothing.” She looked to him proudly, eye watering as she shook her head. 

   “You’ve grown into such a wonderful Man, so much like your father….” She pulled him into a hug,  closing her eye. “Te quiero mucho.”  She whispered, there was so much she wanted to say, wanted to ask and see- But now was not the time. First, they had to get off of this planet, and then worry about where her place may be on the team. A healer was always an option, but she had heard the whispers of the altean tech. It sounded like true magic to her. 

    Though a small laugh did leave her lips, “Sneak on to a fighter ship?” A shake of her head, “That is something you or your father would do.” She hummed, hands moving to his arms. “Come on, let’s get out of here. I’m getting sick of the color purple.” 

  ‘’Fine. But you’re not going alone in case something happens… I’ll join you in Red.’’ He spoke and grabbed his helmet, walking towards the hangar to get his armor on. He knew Lance probably wouldn’t like it, yet, he didn’t really care that much. He just wanted to make sure he was safe and not being reckless like the last time would be nice too.

Looking at the Keith vlog for the fifth time. I noticed that in the little cutscene where Pidge is leaving the team to go find Matt and their father, Keith says “You’re not the only one with a family” then pauses, looking both sad and pissed off before snapping at Pidge. 

Watching him out of the corner of her eye, she watched his movements, they shifted in a more feminine way over how someone masculine could walk, not like her friend. “Well I would never in my right mind come here out on my own. Shiro usually comes with me, but I told him I’d be fine on my own today.” she gave him a tiny smile, but his mention of being proper was rather overrated. It made her chuckle, “And really, I’m not…that pretty.” she reached up and twirled a strand of her hair around her finger, “I swear this is more a curse over a blessing..” it was apparently a topic of conversation she had heard more than once before already.

“A lot of men, day in day out come in, praise me, tell me I’m pretty. I’m glad they aren’t making comparisons to me and her yet, or else I would really end up being cursed. Turned into a snake, a spider, something.” she sighed softly and crossed her arms a little bit. Then she stopped when she realized just how much frustration she spilled on someone she just met. “Sorry, that…was a lot so suddenly.” she murmured and took a breath to relax herself. As they were entering the market she did sidle just a little closer to Lance for security purposes.

Though that was when she took notice of how fair she was against that darker shade, with a few faint dark freckles dotting on the surface. “So, do you live around here?” she asked curiously, deciding to go on a different roll of conversation. “Friends, family?”

He frowned at what she talked about. It really was sad how that was that she went through that. “Well, I do hope things get better for you. No one should be cursed for what others say. Perhaps you’re not as pretty as the Goddess herself but you are pretty. Between the two of us, I’m the cuter one though. Sorry but it’s fact” He smiled, pretending to flip his fake long hair to the side before laughing a bit. When she apologized, he shook his head. Smiling at her. “Hey now, no need to apologize. I’m quite the good listener, sure I’m not the best to give advice back but I can give a hug or a joke instead”
