“Oh whose a good little dragon? Whose the best little dragon?”

Hiccup’s voice dropped a bit as he did that. Finger under the terror’s chin as he scratched at the small spot there as the dragon practically melted against his hand. What a good little dragon he was. Always close to his trainer as he opened his mouth a bit and let a small pink forked tongue hang out of his mouth. He was such a good dragon. The dragon’s body shifted as he rubbed against Hiccup’s fingers as Keith’s soon joined his. The dragon was in utter bliss as he was getting attention from two parties. 

“Nonsense. Course he likes you. Your shoes haven’t been set on fire now have they?”

That’s how the small dragon showed his displeasure for someone. Setting their shoes on fire. Oh boy was his father ever so mad at him about that. Not that it was his problem that the Terrible Terror didn’t like his dad. It never got better as the years they spent together. 

“Well he was trained by yours truly. He never misses. Definitely better than Lance.”

It was true though. 

“He was apart of a training exercise I did with the other riders. To see whose training methods were better. So I got six terrors for us to train. Sharpshot here, Sneaky, Pain, Head and Butt and Iggy.”

Their names were pretty obvious to who their trainer was. They were also great mail carriers. Always got to places faster than a person.

❝ Don’t tell Lance that. Or actually TELL LANCE THAT but wait until I can see his face when you say it and then see his face again when this dragon definitely beats him in a contest. ❞ Because if Hiccup said Sharpshot was good then Keith had no reason to doubt that and getting a little PAYBACK at Lance from time to time sure didn’t hurt. Keith wasn’t quite holding a grudge for all the shit Lance pulled but... he wasn’t always just gonna pretend it didn’t happen either.

 “I believe thats a delicacy… somewhere over the universe… maybe. The diets of a atlean is a mystery to everyone involved since their biology allows for vast capabilities. Only hindered by their sensitivities that come from anything purely organic like say milking a animal.” when did he get such information? Its not like he was looking for information about his mother race, his atlean like markings on his face stood out but thats not important right now. 

 “At least you… had something to eat? I’m still researching on the topic of atlean dietery capabilities … ah forget I said that.”

❝ No you’re right. I’m glad I was well fed and had somewhere to stay because before becoming a paladin things were REALLY ROUGH for me living alone in a pretty awful place and I didn’t have any money or anyone to help me out and I’d never actively talk badly about those parts in general I’m just saying that if you ever thing something on Earth looks a little too weird to eat I won’t judge you for passing on it. ❞ Keith clarified with a smile.

❝ Hiccup! ❞ Keith’s weak protest was drowned out in a laugh not even a tick later as he was picked up and spun around and had kisses peppered all over his face. While a little unexpected and bringing up a few questions of what exactly might’ve brought this mood out of his boyfriend, IT’S NOT LIKE HE’D SAY NO TO IT.

❝ Gross! The kissing and stuff is fine but the-… DON’T SAY THAT it’s so cheesy. ❞ And yet here Keith remained wrapped up in Hiccup’s arms and slipping his own around the Viking’s shoulders. The secret both of them were well aware of is that KEITH LIKED CHEESY. His younger self might want to kick his current self in both his shins for that but it was true.

Keith is a great singer and this is a wholesome stereotype I accept this wholeheartedly. Let people see some good in the Galra!!! Not all of them were involved in the atrocities of the empire and just want to live their lives!! And maybe be singers…

“Spaghetti and ..meat balls?” He questions, twirling his fork like he so the humans do and examining it up close, his nose twitching cutely as he tries to sniff it to give it better details for his brain to memorize. It seems like a good enough food item, and it seemed safe to eat. But in the end he puts it down and looks at Keith again, he seems hesitant.

“Why…does it look live worms then?” that was probably the worst thing to say about a species delicacy but-

“I apologize, I meant no offense to the humans food.” if thats what they /like/.

“What a wonderful day we are having.“

It was in the middle of his own bite that Keith cracked a smile, laughing quietly at the other’s reaction. It’s not like the guy was wrong, spaghetti did kind of look like a plate of slimy worms even if it did taste pretty good.

You know whats strange about human food? Well that its from a new planet that hasn’t quiet mastered space flight yet but theres a lot of things he could say about it. Being someone who is used to roughing it with the food, he needs to make sure to adapt more to the world all aliens seem to be going into now that everything is done with. 

 “And…um. What is this…delicacy?”

Its pasta. 

❝ ...Spaghetti and meatballs? ❞ Keith answered, sounding a lot more unsure than he had intended. It was DEFINITELY spaghetti and that was no question but the idea that anyone would call it a delicacy was new. He probably shouldn’t be all that surprised though. This was something NEW to anyone not raised on Earth and honestly? Spaghetti did taste PRETTY DAMN GOOD compared to some of the weird stuff he’d been eating with the paladins before they’d returned.
