if you find yourself struggling to make friends or holding friendships, think about how your parents made you view the importance of friendship growing up. a lot of our parents didn’t have long term friends that they made time for, at least in my experience. not to mention the constantly mindset of everyone’s jealous of you! not everyone has good intentions! and while that is true sometimes, not everyone is a bad person and we cannot always judge everyone on first basis. i found that healing and letting go of this mindset helped a lot when it came to growing healthy friendships.
