In this redesign, I did not touch her outfit at all - I think it's already perfect! The main change is to her hair. It has a very interesting shape that I thought would be fun to draw with a curly texture (a thought that led me down a rabbit hole of adapting mr driller characters to my style). I also tampered with her colors a tiny bit, since her skin and hair looks a liiittle washed out in the game.

I wanted her personal style to come across in her redesign, so I incorporated some gothic or princesslike elements- namely a corset, skirt, and lots of ruffles- while still trying to keep the vaguely futuristic aesthetic. Maybe her suit isn't the most practical for actually drilling (especially with those heels), but I have a feeling that's not her main concern anyway.

I also changed up his color scheme a bit, making his clothes darker (again, for stealth purposes) and his hair bluer. When I first saw Keel, my immediate thought was how much he looked like Ataru, so messing with his colors was one way I thought to amend that.

I intended for him to look a little less put-together than the other drillers, visually communicating that he's a vigilante kind of character, not working within the driller association, etc. The ripped scarf helps with that, but I also added some scuff marks to his suit and some staple-looking stitch marks to one of his legs. He's is a bit less synchronized in color than my other driller designs, too. I imagine his suit is mostly diy or scrounged up from other suits.

I also gave Susumu some pockets, with the intention of them holding Dristones. They, and the stripe down his suit, were made silver because I felt I needed a third color to add contrast to his design.

She was originally holding a drill in this art, but I erased it so you could fully see her design. The posing looks a little off as a result, though.
