i know the whole thing w babe was to show they were kinda opposites i guess and something something comfort like gene finally manages to comfort somebody and it being babe after he keeps saying the wrong things w him and hurting him unintentionally #okay

then cuz of that its so fun to imagine the eventual conflict they'd end up having and how theyd handle it

ive always liked filling in the missing scenes and one of my fav things is to wonder what even drew gene to babe in the first place ??? when did the staring turn into another form of communication for them (the one scene where gene looks up at babe after being unable to save the soldier i forget the ep) ?? what happens to them after the war??? they're pretty tied to where they were from in the show iirc so what happens to them then??

genuinely wish they gave us more babe and roe in b4 the basement scene... wouldve been cool to see them tgt in the background or something like baberoe shit talking together or more eyefucking idk dammit tom hanks give us the goods
