Yesterday a child sat in her mom's lap.
"Oh, you've gotten heavy!" said the mom and the little girl giggled.
At first I found it extremely adorable. Then I thought "when did that turn into a problem?"
Women are worrying so much about their body and looks that a simple observation that once brought pride, because it was a sign of grought, now is accepted as a sign of regression, bringing insecurities, hate and ungodly expectations.
Yes, it could be harmful, but most people don't give jack shit about that. If it was just about health there wouldn't be dieting, "summer body", hate comments like "aren't you ashamed?".
Imagine writing that to a sick/disabled person. Because if it was about health it would be like them.
I don't move much, eat randomly, go to sleep late. My body aches from the lack of movement, my mind is foggy from the lack of the right sleep and I'm pretty sure the nonlinear eating patterns are not good for me as well. No body outside of my close people, the actual people that care, don't say shit about that. They may not know for certain, but there are enough people to have noticed at least something. Yes, everyone is stiff nowadays and everyone's sleep schedule has gone to shit, but I still say something to them when they are being too careless with their health (of course it has nuances, but yeah).
Thanks for coming to my ted talk, I'm fucking tired of hypocritical idiots.
I keep my circle big, not by choice, but by vibe. People just keep sticking to me like flies on honey

I read "the exam pervert" and was wondering how stressed you were about exams then realized...
The exam pervert jacking it to finals
They're probably one of those teachers, who love giving tests then, huh... Wait, no! I mean while grading them!

Why? What's up with that? I mean, names can have multiple origins (especially when they're originally from an ancient language/culture), but c'mon. What's up with people?

one of my absolute favorite aspects of spanish (the language) is the -ito suffix for things that are cute/small/adorable. i love that there's a whole "name (affectionate)" grammatical structure, it's SO FUCKING CHARMING
Don't most languages have that? Bulgarian does, so does Check and based on that I think all other Slavic languages do as well. Then Spanish, Italian and French are pretty close, so I can guess all of them do. No idea about anything else, but it just seems to me that English is broken.
French does this, expect it's very "old school", plus it mostly works for female names. And even then, "Juliette" is the 'cute' version of "Julie" in theory, but Juliette is mostly a name on its own. Also when it's used over nouns (like "maison" and "maisonette"), its rather used to tell us the size of the object than to show affection for it : "maison" is a house and "maisonette" a small house. So in french -et or -ette CAN suggest affection, or not. In Spanish you can add the "-ito" or "-ita" over different names/nouns, but it doesn't work for French all the time.
Well, in my head smallness = cuteness = affection. And that's how it basically works in those cases in Bulgarian, Czech and apparently Spanish. But, of course, it depends on the language/culture/what we tie to it.

Finished the book a while ago and no matter how sad it is I am content. The ending was satisfying and that's enough.

Executive dysfunction is when there’s gas in the tank but no fuse. Either that or the engine is fine but the breaks don’t work. Or somehow both.

You know, I’m not autistic but sometimes people think I am because I’m blunt or something but really I’m just German
That's the question I ask myself. Am I autistic or am I just Bulgarian with opinions and different values than most people?
Must not pick that scab off. It will not in fact get rid of the scab and just create a different scab. The scab is not done cooking yet. I am completely normal about scabs. <-gripping the edges of his chair so tightly the wood is starting to crack
